I know you're sick of Hello Kitty's but since I can't watch the video (except for the pig one) ... is it round like this? Or more like this?

ETA: Round one comes in blue too.

No its not a kitty I thinks its a pig. Look at Pg 8 Post 187, no video. The lunch box is round but the strap is on the top of it.

I thought there was an updated video (one of the links momtective posted did not work for me).

I did see the AMW video by going to their site (which is full of information that differs from what I've read elsewhere) and did see the screen shots of the bag and lunchbox.

I thought that they had actually photos of Somer with these items or just actual pictures of the items (like I found).

In the media portion of AMW are these statements. Pictures would not copy (for me).

Somer wore her hair in pigtails with pink ribbons the day she disappeared.

Somer's pink lunchbox has not been located.

Somer was spotted at a vacant house that was being remodeled along her route home.

Somer wore her hair in pigtails with pink ribbons the day she disappeared.

Somer has a twin brother and 10-year-old sister.

Somer disappeared while walking home from school with her siblings.

Somer's mother said she was creative, full of energy and loved to talk.

Somer was in 2nd grade at Grove Park Elementary School.

That's all that's there.

It says her lunch box has not been located.
It doesn't say anything about whether or not her book bag has been located.
Can we therefore infer that they have her book bag?

Nope, they just showed the pictures like I just reposted from Momtective :) And they showed them really fast...it was hard to catch all the details. So glad Momtective found them :)

The lunchbox Somer carried has a picture of a pig's face on the top.
It has a pig on the top of the lunchbox, ... that ought to narrow it down.

And depends on where you read:

Take a close look
at the artist renderings of the book bag and lunchbox that Somer was carrying the day she disappeared.

Police say these two items have not been found, but their discovery could point straight to Somer's killer.

Is the gate to the Gano house right by the sidewalk or further up, closer to the house?

I'm just wondering why she would go up to the gate and talk to a workman. I really think not talking to strangers is really drilled into kid's heads, though they certainly don't follow that as an adult would.

If she was walking along and saw someone working in a yard, would she engage that person in conversation?

It just doesn't make sense to me that she would go up to that house and engage in a conversation.

I just don't think that she would comment on the good work that they are doing. Very strange. It just doesn't add up to me.

I'm wondering if they found her book bag in the restroom of the OPAA. According to that list of items she was wearing/carrying, they specifically state that her lunch box has not been located. If her book bag has not been located, then wouldn't it also have been mentioned in that list as not having been located?

It has a pig on the top of the lunchbox, but it's a HK lunchbox? Hmm ... that ought to narrow it down.

I'm just going by what was shown/talked about on tv. I don't recall them saying it was HK.

Neither of the items is Hello Kitty. Neither of the items has a kitty on it at all. The lunchbox has a pig on it from what we've gathered.

On AMW on tv tonight they said her book bag and lunch bag have not been found. :( I swear...is anything with this case normal?? They can't get one freakin fact straight. I'm so frustrated:banghead::crazy::furious:

Anyone know who makes this? Thanks momtective for the pics. Hope the public was watching so if one of the two pieces (or both) mysteriously appears in their household they can call LE!

Its very miss leading. I taped AMW and just watched it again. They said they are both missing..

WHERE did the HK idea come from then?

Pig lunchbox

I don't know. Not sure who started calling it a HK. It had a pig on the lunch bag and a skull on the book bag....no K. :(

So the list on the AMW website is incorrect.
Thanks trigger!

The LIST is wrong but in another spot on AMW they say neither have been found (bumped above). They need a proofreader/editor. IMO

I take full responsibility, Noway, and I am so so sorry. Hubby and I were both watching and we both thought they were Hello Kitty, without even a question about it.
Please forgive? I'd'a sworn...and that's why eye witnesses need to not be believed, sometimes. I'm proof. I've amended all of my posts.
I feel just awful for this. I apologize to everyone. All were inconvenienced.

Up until now, all the news reports described her hair in a ponytail with a red ribbon. Now the reports say pink ribbons.
You aren't confused - you've just been paying attention!
