My guess is she did get into a car. It was someone she knew well enough to do that with. I feel like she was taken into a home, raped, killed and then placed in the dumpster. I would bet my bottom dollar that he hid the book bag and lunch box in the home. Are there any street videos in the area? That seems like such a short distance to go missing. Anyone have a map of the two crossing guard stops and how far between them? I still feel this person is younger, and under the radar. JMO

ITA, Bern. I've said the same thing, and added that every child molester, every SO got their start somewhere. It's very unusual for one to get caught the first time around.

I think he is saying that if one uses all of the information that is available, one will find the area where the perp lives/works, hence one will find the perp.

Then why has LE with all their experience been unable to do so? They have way more information than we do here. And much more than BSU too. If BSU has the skills he implied, then why not offer help to LE and not worry about whether the sleuthers online solve the murder?


About the lunchbox and Bento ... yes I've searched and found many animals including a pig, but not this pig. I wondered if it was purchased out of the USA. The bookbag could have been made for Somer or came with another item and she used it as a bookbag.

About the scarf and hat ... could they have been more for fashion than warmth -- 66 degrees here would be no coat weather but for someone used to much warmer weather it might be considered chilly.

Also any teen that plays in sports, may have a reason to have cuts or a kid in a recent fight or claims he got the injuries in some other manner, like working on a car, cutting trees, or in the woods and got scratched. He may have been wearing cloths to hid the scratches. Someone has seen them and is not saying. I agree that parents and GF will hid facts from LE. They don't want to turn in family or a BF.

What was your issue with the first video? I just heard some guy ranting about the case and predators. It didn't seem anything different than many net comments might contain (except for putting his kids in the video).

On the second video, the sound was so odd that I had to turn it off without watching. What did he say about Transformers? Does he have some kind of a problem or is he putting that on for the video? Thanks.

ETA: Answering myself here. I went back to the clip and got it all to load this time. Sounds like he's deaf. Sorry for my confusion. I will watch the other videos.

Sheriff Besler answered many surrounding the discovery of a blue Nissan Sentra driven by a Hispanic family. When the search for Somer first started, police believed the driver’s of that car may have been involved in a similarly attempted abduction. After checking out leads, Sheriff Besler says the Nissan drivers were not responsible for Somer’s disappearance.

“Yesterday afternoon investigators located that vehicle, located those individuals, have been interviewing them. We feel very comfortable and confident at this time that that incident had nothing to do with Somer’s disappearance,” said Sheriff Besler.

According to Pape, an FDLE officer was driving on Gano Avenue and saw a small girl on a bike almost get hit by a car. That officer stopped to assist the little girl, who said that she couldn't find her home.

Pape stressed the fact that the matter of the Blue Nissan has been "completely investigated".

Florida Department of Law Enforcement special agent Dominick Pape also addressed reporters at a daily briefing outside the Orange Park operations center of the Clay County Sheriff's Office on Saturday. He negated reports of an abduction attempt in the area where Somer was last seen. Reports of that attempt were first broadcast October 10 when a blue Nissan was scene in the area of Gano Avenue.

Pape said an FDLE agent and his family were leaving a football game when they saw a little girl narrowly miss getting hit by a car. The agent pulled over and asked the girl if she was okay and if he should call police. She refused help and walked home. Pape said reports of an abduction attempt are simply unfounded.

Somer was last seen alive walking along the sidewalk in front of a vacant house on Gano Avenue (see map), and authorities said Friday that they're searching for anyone who saw what happened to the 7-year-old after that. Investigators sifted through evidence from that vacant house and the Georgia landfill where her body was found Wednesday.

There are way too many conflicting stories here. It's one thing for LE to have this many glaring inconsistencies in a single incident, but wouldn't you think there would be one good reporter in the area that would pick up on it??? I'm just dumbfounded :banghead:

What is going on in Orange Park?? I haven't seen one new article out of that town in days. Other than fundraiser info or info about AMW I haven't seen any substantial local coverage. No one is digging. No one is going back looking at rapes, attempted rapes, break ins in the area or other local attempted abductions. How about walking the route Somer took with a news crew/camera? Anything?? Have I missed it? Is any local reporter covering this story??? Is this normal??

Is it me or is something just not right with this case & the media coverage??? Every other case I've seen media coverage IS OUT THE WHAZOO... Witnesses/friends of witnesses/family are interviewed by the media and reinterviewed. Teachers...classmates...neighbors...locals on the street are interviewed. I'm looking, but maybe I'm just not seeing it.

I just thought his commentary on Somer was weird. Both of these guys actually...and the one following the school bus...very weird.
Just an observation on my part, nothing more.

What are the donations being used for? On the site linked above, it says all donations go directly to the family. Have they set up a foundation? I think a lawyer would be needed for that.

I googled the user name of the YouTube Channel User...Saeed. Someone with the exact same name was killed in August....that's all. I thought it was weird. Don't know if it's a common name. Didn't look like a common name to me. So is someone using a dead person's name? Appeared strange to me...jmo and Just an observation.

They are artists renditions based on descriptions by family so not sure how exact they are (if they were available via retail, why would they bother with artist's rendition?).

Among other things, Diena needs a lawyer to protect Somer. As an example, a few days ago, I saw an age progression ad using a picture of Caylee Anthony as its sample. It's since been taken down. But the lowlife who used her picture ... it's people like him/her that make it necessary for Diena to have a lawyer. JMO
