I went through this with my daughter, and that was years ago. (She's 38). We lived just thisfar outside the line, so she walked w/other kids-because I worked, was a single mom w/no child support and no live-in boyfriend. That's why I said before, 'There but for the grace of God...'
Yes, even back then.
I remember one day in particular, taking her to school and watching kids as they walked and/or rode bikes. One dropped all her papers in the mud, one got splashed w/dirty water from a puddle, one was crying, several were running...I'll never forget thinking people didn't realize the stress that kids can be under.
And that was then.
