I don't think that DT would have any say so on what is entered in on a death certificate. Aren't those filled out by the medical examiner upon completion of the autopsy? If ST was listed on her birth certificate and that information is in vital records, I would think that is where they obtained the information entered on the death certificate.

haven't finished reading the thread so sorry if this is already speculated but maybe he was someone with the media trying to get a scoop. maybe whatever he said trying to get into DT's car didn't fly, and then he approaches ST who is just trying to grieve for his daughter and probably very appreciative of anyone who is kind to him (doesn't sound like many were) and ST falls for "chris's" story. Uncle realizes no one knows the guy and goes ballistic??

So CWG was really a friend of PC? He had to have been there then - to end up on the report.

You know - we do not really know how long DT and SP have been friends do we?

Could SP really be PC's friend more than mom's. And if so - then would he also be friends with CWG?

If you say mom's behavior sort of changed lately - possibly due to influence from PC - maybe there is some sort of wierd control issue going on there.

I need to think on this for a bit.

NO matter why or who these men are... there are too many unrelated men in these childrens lives....imo... this in itself is dangerous for young kids.. and for even one to be RSO?????? I also found out that PC and DT have been together a long time... 3-4 yrs. so they all got along the first two... ST has been here to visit kids approx 2 yrs ago according to LH. DT let fam have phone contact til a month before she was missing... last time ST's mom spoke to somer. all of this is bizarre. She is also DT so initials would be too confusing. She says somer told her the last time they spoke to tell her daddy to come and get her...NOW... she told me this today when she was angry for what PC told her when she called to speak with her grandkids. HOnestly... I dont know.... all heresay and rumors I guess... I wish I had the third side to this story.

also, does anyone know if people were arrested at DT's house day before somer was missing? I saw this too on HLN, bu they stated that the address was wrong, that LE had that address in their head and it was entered wrong. This doesnt make sense especially if it was the day before... why would that address be in their heads then?
I am not gonna sleep again to nite, am I... and I havent packed a thing!

It was after Somer went missing. It was a mistake by LE, they went back and changed the address on the arrest log later.

Also, on the original incident report some of the names most likely come from people interviewed along Somer's route from school to home, probably from the park.

I would demand to know cod of MY child at this point..ST cant possibly be poi so I dont see the harm in telling him..Why would he compromise investigation by repeating it to anyone who may leak it? DT, oth, needs to be kept out of the loop for many reasons but none that include her being poi.

You are right on in the St part of the situation... but if that was undercover dressing.. it was really good. The wrangler jeans were obvious favorites,,, they were really tight and snug/worn if ya know what i mean... and not (imo) a good way. I dont think it was media because ST was accessible to them. They really didnt bother him much. I thought at the time that the uncle just didnt know he was a friend of DT's and assumed he was a friend of ours..

When my father died recently, we, my sister and I filled out the death certificate form and it was sent off with the certified death certificate ready in a few days... but they got all the info from us.

They were never together in florida... friends in common were in nc, so no connects in jax, unless I can find friends of my own here that knew them... so far, none in common. PC told ST's mother for none of us to contact them.. to go thru her attorney...

PC doesn't have any business telling somer's grandmother to go through an attorney. Grrrrrrr!

I've been reading all evening and must have missed what PC told the grandma who called. Was this and D.T.'s change in behavior mentioned earlier today way back in the thread?
Edite: Oops, I read a post wrong. You just said that. Maybe she should contact LE about Somer wanting to be picked up NOW.

I would like to comment on ST's comment about the soot. I asked where that comment came from... he stated it was said to him by someone who I dont find to be a very good source. That LE told her that and I dont believe it. Again, only my opinion. They have been so tightlipped that I cannot imagine them telling her that. Unless there is something else to back this up, I wouldnt waste time on it.

sadnpod - I would like to extend my condolences to you and your family, and especially to ST (I hate using initials!) during this very sad and tragic time. Please convey to him that there are folks out here who care and want to assist in bringing little Somer's killer to justice.

I would also like to welcome you to WS. I just wish it could have been under less personally tragic circumstances.

Thank you, also, for the info on the mysterious soot. When I first heard it reported by the media, I was taken aback, since LE seemed to be keeping such a tight lid on any and all evidence. I was skeptical regarding the veracity of the info, and couldn't imagine where it had come from. You have confirmed my doubts that it wasn't reliable info.

Maybe he was a friend of PC, and immediately when Somer goes missing PC thinks of him, not realizing he's left the state, gives officer his name (officer can look up addy and other info on SO registry) and then when officer goes to question him, he finds all this info is not accurate and then they list him as absconded??
I don't know, but hearing he may have been a friend makes more sense then the random guy on the street. I couldn't figure out how the officer got the name if CWG wasn't actually there. Although at some point the pr officer (forgot her name) released a statement about CWG being an error. It makes sense if PC named him not realizing he had moved??

But the one thing that still hasn't been explained to my satisfaction about CWG being on the police report is that later, when it was finally addressed by LE, they claimed it was simply a case of mistaken identity. I take that to mean CWG was ID'd by someone who thought they saw him, but were mistaken, not that he was no longer in the area.

BTW, he was located, I believe, in TX. But I'm not sure. Has he reported his whereabouts to the Sheriff in TX, and has he been confirmed to be in TX, or is it just more smoke and mirrors?

Yup, this is the guy . I really want to know if he could have been by Somer. A lot of people have cell phones only so no telephone listing. Any chance that he was working as a construction worker or lawn care service? This guy continues to offend.
