Now they're advertising coming up at 5:30 - Molly Hatchet wrote a song for Somer Thompson....

Bobby Ingram, lead guitarist for molly hatchet is from the area & decided to write a song after the frist fundraiser for Somer. It's about from the mother's perspective to Somer. They've got to keep the community involved & everybody aware that somebody is still out there. He's going to help DT and the family and the band is going to help DT & the family as long as it takes. DT will be the guest of honor tomorrow night at a benefit on the football field of the Orange Park High School.

Makes me wonder if there is something they found in the crime scene or autopsy that shows a similar pattern or "signature" that could link Somer's case with these other unsolved murders.

Does anyone know the specific 4 cases John Walsh was referring to?
Maybe going back and re-sleuthing these cases can give us some additional clues...
I know there is the chance these cases are totally unrelated. But I really wonder what info LE and the FBI has that keeps these kinds of statements coming up...Of course they are keeping everything so close to the vest including the COD so it's hard to tell...

I have been holding on to this information since the Amber Alert. I have both called and emailed information to LE but have seen no results, so I am bringing it to you. Since there is no Psychic, Dreams, Impressions thread I hope it is okay to post this here. On Tuesday Oct 20th I got on a Jacksonville news site to see if there was anything new on Haleigh's disappearance. I saw the Amber Alert on Somer which basicly said that she had gone missing at Gano & Debarry while walking home from school.
I began to meditate on her name and asked her where she was. She replied "Briarwood". Then she showed me a light yellow, kind of boxy looking convertible with tan leather seats. My focus went immediately to the trunk and she said "I was in here". I knew that meant she was gone, so I asked her who had done this to her. She showed me a young man coming out a nice house, walking down the driveway and getting into the car. He had short dark hair, a muscular build, an all american clean cut looking kid. I asked "this is who killed you?' and was shown (sorry it gets a little graphic here) him choking her. I again was shown him coming out of the house with a large empty box that he put in the backseat of his car and drove away. My next image was of a lot of green grass & trees, he was over top of her again but this time he was (sorry again) hitting her in the head and face with a hammer. The next flash showed the hammer being thrown up onto a black shingled roof, I heard the hammer sliding and then I could see it resting with the steel end in the gutter and the wood part laying up on the shingles. The final image was of the young man coming out of his house with a skateboard slung over his shoulder(this was long before I found out there was a skateboard park near the burned out house). That is what I saw.
It left me with many questions as you may imagine. First of all I "felt" like she knew him and went with him willingly, maybe coming home late sometimes was due to watching him skateboard?
I also wondered why he would use a hammer on her since he had already choked her, then in one of the first few threads someone mentioned a young man (K) who was still in school but hoped to become LE one day. My (as you say) Hinky Meter went crazy and I started to think that perhaps LE was not as impressed with this young man as he was with himself. What better way to prove how bright you are to a sick young mind than to plan the "perfect crime". Using a hammer would have them looking for a "monster" not the "All American Boy".
This is the info that I received. It is my hope that one of you can help to put these pieces together and bring justice for Somer. Thanks for your time!

They think it was a sexual predator?That's done this before?are they saying if he/she is older?I really would have to know if and who they have as possible other victims of this killer.

Or could it be someone who is obsessed with sexual predators and have read everything they can about them, enough to copy them. Maybe info that wasn't released to the general public because they have LE ties???:waitasec:

Remember all the psychic tips that were sent in for Caylee? I read a bunch and while they were wrong I believe I heard that LE didn't check any of them, because if they checked one they would have to check them all, or something to that effect. I figured they tossed my tip as soon as we hung up, but just in case I did hold onto the info for quite some time. I don't know what to tell you Noway, I saw what I saw.

On the 6:00 news they just said DT's atty said sheriff rick besler asked him to watch out for and help the family for free if he could ... so there we have it. he is working for free. DT is getting the lock of somer's hair tomorrow from a couple of ladies from the justice coalition who had it put in a shadowbox with some pearls donated by underwood jewelry & some other items in the shadowbox. In this segment, DT says she hasn't been told anything about her daughter - if she was sexually assaulted, how she died, when she died.... just that they found her.

ETA - wouldn't they have to list the cause of death on the death certificate? Or would they just list homicide?

I took the back way home on Debarry so I could check out the neighborhood for a covertible preferably yellow. I searched down Debarry turned on Briarwood, went down to the Grove, checked out Elm, and then took Gano to my street home. No luck on the vehicle and most houses there have garages, no for sale or free puppy signs to help either. Can you recall coloring on the house? Shape? Anything odd on the design of the house? Recall any lawn issues (needed to be mowed, good looking lawn, trash looking lawn) garage door color, anything like that?

Will be searching the area more over the weekend as well.

sorry sorrell - the attorney is working for free. Molly Hatch band is playing for free & both the attorney & the band are going to help DT and her family through this....

I think they would list it this way, manner of death is homocide and cause of death would most likely be listed as pending by law enforcement investigation

Why such a big secret? I just don't get it. To keep from the public, yes - I can understand that... but the child's mother? That just seems wrong on so many levels!! Why keep the cause from the mother? She has a right to know I would think - it is her child.

Sheriff Rick Beseler answered questions Thursday about what evidence has been found three weeks into the investigation.Beseler said some forensic evidence is back from the lab, but he won't say what it is.Beseler did not release any information on whether investigators have tracked down the Dumpster where Somer's body was originally placed.As for the home on Gano Avenue that investigators searched, Beseler would not say if the crime took place there, but he did say it has not been ruled out.
