Well, the chart had 4-15 written in the top right corner. If I am wrong, I am so sorry.
thanks for that info. I just pm'd fifth about it... hopefuly she will clear it all up/do new chart if one is needed when she logs back on. And thanks for pointing out where you saw the date on the chart.... I looked and looked and couldn't seem to locate it on there! I guess if I would wear my glasses it would help! Thanks Carolina Girl!

I swear, just yesterday I was thinking to myself "it's been a good amount of time since a child was abducted, hopefully we are out of that now" and I wake up this morning to hear about Somer, and here we are again. I'm so distraught that this keeps happening to our children. It's really been a bad, bad year. This has to stop!

There has to be mandatory life in prison for these types..let out some less violent criminals ..but child molesters should rot in jail always. Seems like eveytime you hear of a case the kids are surrounded by 60 child molesters etc...get them out of our neighborhoods ..come on

They shouldnt be ruling out the person who tryed to lure that other little girl into the car IMO ...its to much of a concidence

Yeah. LE said they found the car that was out that day and the (means 1?) individual.

I thought there were at least 3 in the car the day of the luring.

Could have used a different car the day Somer went missing.

Mom had not heard about the luring incident. If she had, I'm sure she would have taken more precautions to the best of her ability.

I hope the sheriff elaborates at the presser today about the car and this person and just WHAT they were doing that day to that little girl (and if any charges will be pressed!)

eta: because the public DESERVES to know!

Dont shoot the messenger ..i think this guy is totally innocent, it makes perfect sense that he waited at the house for sommer while the other kids went to look ..after all they know the route they took home and where she was last seen etc...I really dont see how anyone can think he would have time to do something to her since im sure the other kids were secs after she would have arrived, lets be reasonable. I always ask my own kids to go get their younger brother if he is lagging behind them.

I was the first one to report his name here on the forum and I have done a lot of mentioning of him since. However, I haven't voiced my opinion one way or the other as to whether or not I think he's involved. I've clarified times based on the 4 pm presser yesterday and tried to make sure people have things straight. I'm really not leaning one way or another in regards to what could have happened to little Somer. However, I do think it's important that we look at everyone and everything in the area. The guards, the kids, the ponds, the parents, the cars, the woods, her family, her siblings, and everything and everyone in between. So SP is one of the first people others have decided to look into. It's logical. Got anyone better (with the exception of the car people -- who have now been "cleared")? We're gonna continue to look into him. You know LE will. And we'll look into other people. You know LE will. It's part of what we do here and your opinions are fine too, but I don't think anyone should get mad we're looking up information about one person. Just as easily as we could find something suspicious, we could find absolutely nothing suspicious and rule him off our radars early on in the process.

No hard feelings toward anyone.

LL!!! Good to see you... even under the terrible circumstances...

This world is falling apart. So much meanness out there.

I agree, I would rather see a drug dealer on the street than a child molester.
My reasoning is that most people who abuse drugs are old enough to make the decision to use or not to use drugs. Children don't have the choice of letting a child molester harm them or not-the child is defenseless and the sickos that harm them only do it for their own selfish needs and they cannot be cured.

My thoughts and opinions only.

I agree and even if they are not related to this case they should have their names/pictures plastered all over the net, etc. just for even attempting it!
Forget about their rights-what about the victim(s)?

I'm sure we will find out, but I am going with the strangers in the car.

I would like to have more info. about the people in the car attempting to lure the 5 yr. old into it 10 days before this happened.

I tend to err on the side of the 'family friend' not being involved. If the other kids' stories are accurate, then she couldn't have been that far ahead. If it was the family friend, it would seem he had more opportunities than to attack/molest a girl when her siblings could be coming home any second. Could he abuse/kill Somer and then dispose of her in what was probably a short window of time? I doubt it.

This seems more like a situation where the child was quickly removed from the scene and relocated. It'd be beyond foolish to think you can adbuct a child, relocate her, and then get back home so quickly. For all he knew, those other kids could be walking in the door at any second and if he was supposed to be there for them, that'd quickly get back to mom.

All I've heard is that the car was a blue Nissan Sentra (4-door) and inside were two men in the back seat (race and description unknown) and a hispanic female driver. They pulled along side a 5 year old and said "your mommy told us to take you home" and the 5 year old screamed "no" and ran. A passerby witnessed it, went over to make sure the little girl was ok and asked her if she knew those people, she said no and the passerby called police.

I am just reading about this and now that I'm working (thankful and blessed for the job) but I am not on here but a few minutes a day now. I have just cried. My lil boy is 7 and I would be insane right now. I can't imagine his school just letting him walk home but I guess that was the norm for a quite a few there where she lived. The car with the female and males trying to get the other girl is just creepy and how many times does this crap go on these days??

Praying for Somer and her family. I'm afraid of the outcome. We've seen it too often.

More of a lurker than a poster but the video of Somer's mom had me bawling my eyes out. I do believe that she is suffering, complete and utter stress is what I saw.

I pray that Somer is found safe and returned to her family.

We don't know. He is being called a family friend. It could mean anything or it could mean family friend.

this morning during the presser the mother called the live-in her boyfriend. fox news carried it around 7:30 am central. not that that means anything about him but that is what she called him;)

Thanks for the update-I read all posts on Somer's threads and watched/read the news so I knew all of that-lol!
I should of made myself more clear so you didn't spend all that time explaining to me!
I meant since I learned LE has located the vehicle and person(s) in question as stated on the news shows this morning by the sheriff of CC I would like to know more about who they located and why on earth they did that!

I've got to get off here and get some things done-high of 70 today here in ne Indiana-heatwave :woohoo: . Enjoy it while I can because it isn't going to last long!

Hopefully when I get back here later there will be good news about Somer.

Exactly, I mean what they aren't dangerous cause they failed at a kidnapping attempt!!...They need to be arrested right now IMO. So they might have found the female or whoever owns the car, but remember there were two guys with her and they had time to take sommer off with them and have the women come back to throw off the police ...or something ,, no one really knows whats going on.
