this morning during the presser the mother called the live-in her boyfriend. fox news carried it around 7:30 am central. not that that means anything about him but that is what she called him;)

Exactly, I mean what they aren't dangerous cause they failed at a kidnapping attempt!!...They need to be arrested right now IMO. So they might have found the female or whoever owns the car, but remember there were two guys with her and they had time to take sommer off with them and have the women come back to throw off the police ...or something ,, no one really knows whats going on.

I can't believe the sheriff didn't stress that the matter was being investigated more to the fullest... I am sure that little girl of 5 did Not lie about those ppl 10 days ago.. and the one who took it in their own to think it wasn't important at the sheriff's office to not report to city po and schools should be punished greatly also.... I hope they aren't trying to sweep it under the rug.... the sheriff's office messed up so fess up and move on and find Somer... but for cripes sake don't leave that situation hanging... It is To Important... And The Public esp.. There Needs to know if they are off the streets...

I was the first one to report his name here on the forum and I have done a lot of mentioning of him since. However, I haven't voiced my opinion one way or the other as to whether or not I think he's involved. I've clarified times based on the 4 pm presser yesterday and tried to make sure people have things straight. I'm really not leaning one way or another in regards to what could have happened to little Somer. However, I do think it's important that we look at everyone and everything in the area. The guards, the kids, the ponds, the parents, the cars, the woods, her family, her siblings, and everything and everyone in between. So SP is one of the first people others have decided to look into. It's logical. Got anyone better (with the exception of the car people -- who have now been "cleared")? We're gonna continue to look into him. You know LE will. And we'll look into other people. You know LE will. It's part of what we do here and your opinions are fine too, but I don't think anyone should get mad we're looking up information about one person. Just as easily as we could find something suspicious, we could find absolutely nothing suspicious and rule him off our radars early on in the process.

No hard feelings toward anyone.

Yes i know that everyone has to be looked at, but it seems logic could rule out a few people right off...there is a smoking gun at this crime scene.........( predators hunting at the exact spot) even tho the police say its not related, I personally dont buy it.

Cindy Sue I am thanking you .. If I hit thanks button it makes me quote you the next time I quote someone else..

This is so true.. Public needs to know they are off the street and kids around there are safe.. Predator running free is like a ticking time b^*% (you know what) .. I don't want to type that word..

IIRC on the today show this morning the Sheriff stated the incident 10 days ago was reported to the local police, not the Sheriff's office. Whoever it was seriously dropped the ball on this one. These people need to be arrested. How can the sheriff's office be so confident they were not involved? Clearly they were up to no good to begin with. As far as I know attempted kidnapping is still a crime! This is infuriating.

I really hope they don't dismiss the attempted abductors too quickly as having involvement in this case. That was awfully quick to find them and then all but clear them, don't you think?

Sean is a computer analyst who does healing. http://indigo-healing.net/

It's the Indigo Child thing that has me leery of him.

He lives in Jacksonville, divorced.

From the linked website:
Throughout my entire life up until a few years ago, I had been in and out of Hospitals and Doctors' and Allergists' offices. I was put on countless and at times excessive amounts of prescription medication. ...

Interesting- countless meds just for allergies? ..."throughout his entire life"- really? He doesn't mention that on his bio page, where he states:

I had a great life by the all American standard, so I thought. Then one day at the age of 23, I was playing golf and thought I injured my shoulder, I was wrong. I found a lump in my collar bone and went to a doctor who misdiagnosed me.

The ailments he claims to treat with his touchy-feely healing technique have nothing to do with allergies or lumps:

Have you or your child been diagnosed as ADD/ADHD, Autism? Prescribed or thinking about taking medications such as Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta, etc.? Are you having trouble at work? Is your child having trouble in school? Unable to focus, pay attention, even problems learning?

Have you ever wondered why you or your child is having a difficult time with emotional, mental, and sometimes physical problems due to unknown illnesses?

Do you feel that you are being blocked or limited in some way? Have you reached a plateau and no matter what you do, the situation doesn't seem to improve?
Quantum Touch

Quantum-Touch is a gentle and very effective form of "hands on healing". I focus love and pure intent (:sick:)combined with breathing and visualization techniques to enhance the healing process.

$150.00 hour / $75.00 for 30 minutes

Reiki

A Japanese technique for stress and relaxation that also promotes healing. Through the "laying on of hands" I act as a bridge for Spirit to balance and align your chakras and strengthen your life force.

$90.00 hour / $45.00 for 30 minutes

Add Quantum-Touch to your Reiki session for only $30.00 more an hour ($120.00/hr)

This part is particularly intrigueing to me:

I work with a variety of clients, specializing in helping children, animals, and people discovering their true path. Please contact me for a healing session.

In summary, (from what I've read so far); this is a divorced single male who lives with a woman and her three children as a roomie-not-boyfriend, is a computer analyst who advertises himself as a healer who specializes in: 1) children, 2) animals, and finally, 3) people looking for their true path.

Why does a single guy prefer to live this way? No privacy, sharing a home with three kids and a woman who is just a friend. I wonder if he has any real customers for his healing touch thing or if the website is just a convenient cover for a guy who needs a "legit" excuse to lay hands on other people's little kids?

(Didn't mean to bold this last part, 'puter is messsed up!)

Correction: Mom is calling him a boyfriend now. Still, this doesn't remove him from my radar since perves regularly become involved with women who have children in order to have unsupervised access to the children. I still think his hands-on healing thing is weird for a man with no professional medical or spiritual/relegious qualification.

I agree with you. Am I the only mother that would be pulling out my address book and calling everyone in my contacts to tell them about what happened to a precious child on the way home from school? Something went wrong with that if you ask me and I would even go so far as after reporting an attempted abduction to police I would call every news channel in my town to inform them as well.

I hate not hearing anything. I can't imagine how her mother must feel. When I attempt to imagine it, I nearly lose my mind.

Is there going to be another presser today?

Fox News is about to talk to Somer's father after the commercial break. Glad to see Somer is getting national attention.

In the town where I live (granted, it's a very small town), if anything like this ever happens, the school sends a note home to parents so they are aware of the incident. Did this school do the same and her mom just didn't get/read the note??

Shamrock I have been following since yesterday afternoon and I am yet to hear Somer's mom comment on whether or not she was notified in anyway of the prior abduction attempt. Anyone else know?

I think the whole Indigo Child thing is a little weird, but it's a growing "science" and I don't think it's necessarily hinky that he specializes in children, as children seem to be the main focus of most of the people who facilitate this treatment. He specializes in animals, too, and it's unlikely he practices beastiality. I know that sounds flippant, but it's the nature of the work in this case. It'd sort of be akin to a pediatric urologist specializing in baby boys and penile issues. Not a stretch.

Trying to recap segment on Fox News with CCSO and Somer's father...

CCSO Srgt. Dan (didn't get last name): 235 leads as of 8 am, expanding search,
foul play involved due to Somer's age, weather conditions and now on day 3

Father: not like Somer to run off and stay gone, loves her family (sister. mom, twin brother)

Jane Skinner: list of friends on refrigerator to call if Somer didn't come home - could be at friend's house or in tree house (father had not heard that)

Father: pleas for Somer to come home or be returned if someone has her

CCSO Srgt Dan (?): contacted 75 SO's in 5 mile radius, possibly expand SO radius
think she has been removed from area, searched 4 times now on foot, horseback, dogs, helicopter, etc. and no sign of her

I believe she said on The Today Show this morning that she had no knowledge of it.

Indigo dude, sorry, forgot his name, is really ticking me off. Anyone that tries to capitolize off autistic kids really burns my biscuits. I am surrounded by flaming croissants right now.
My son's problems aren't in his aura, they are in his brain.
Sorry, I just caught up on all the posts about him and his, so called beliefs, and while it adds nothing to the discussion, it really makes me mad.

She stated during one of the morning show interviews that she had not been aware of the alleged attempted abduction ten days before.

Something interesting about SP's ex-wife is that she was once married to someone with a last name that the Haleigh case followers will recognize - and may have lived in Glen St. Mary at one time.

Maybe it was pretty obviously a misunderstanding. If I remember right the woman who reported it as an attempted kidnapping said she was suspicious mainly because of the way the car was parked in the driveway. I don't think she ever saw anybody actually try to snatch the child but please correct me if I'm wrong.
