People in Duval, Clay, Putnam (and probably all of us!):

We need to know what's going on in our neighborhoods! LE is not there to keep big SECRETS!

Once again, how can you protect yourself and your children, when you have NO CLUE as to what's going on?

I have read that LE does read this - and I hope they DO! This is wrong -- we are not on CSI! -- we are real people who need your help and ANY AND ALL INFORMATION YOU CAN GIVE TO HELP US PROTECT OURSELVES!

Would this qualify as a fact?

After searching the house on Gano, they immediately went across the street and searched the restroom in the park?

Does anyone have ANY idea on what led them from the house on Gano straight to that park restroom? I don't have any idea. Would like to hear some of your thoughts as to what it could have been.

It was said they took SOMETHING from that bathroom and were not in there very long.
I've wondered if maybe they found a pair of broken glasses-maybe sunglasses-in that park restroom. I'd think they'd be hard to trace, especially if they weren't prescription. Maybe that's what led LE to think injuries to head, face? If the glasses were broken, there would have to have been some sort of altercation, especially if the frames were damaged, I'd think.
And maybe they took them out in some sort of LE evidence bag, making a witness think it was a purse? I can't see LE taking ANYTHING out of ANYWHERE without its being in some sort of approved bag. Chain of command, and all that...

I'd like to suggest #4. So far, we have

1) Somer's body was discovered in landfill
2) She left school at the regular time and began walking home.
3) Somer routinely wandered around and no one knew where...
The next thing we know would be that DT flagged down sheriff's officer DSC.
Sure would be nice to know what time, but I think the flagging down is indisputable, isn't it?
But I won't add it until I get the say-so. Majority rules!
And do I add about searching burned home on Gano and then going across the street to the park?

sadnpod -

If ST wants to call and try to verify that CWG was, in fact, in Texas on Sun, Mon, and Tues -- maybe they can help him more than CCSO is willing to --

Here's two numbers I found -
Bandera Police Department - (830) 796-3456

Bandera County Sheriff's Department - (830) 796-4323

maybe, when ST tells them who he is, they will be willing to research this and can verify where CGW was for those 3 days . . . -- worth a try, don't you think?

I have seen three different addresses for CWG in the Jax area, so he obviously was familiar with and spent time there.

Thanks, and I will pass it on...

What is the usual trash found in a public restroom that LE might have been interested in - aside from the more "personal" items, (such as feminine hygiene products - which I seriously doubt they'd collect)?
Paper towels comes to mind, unless that restroom only has those blow dryers.
But what would have drawn their attention to discarded paper towels (if that's what they collected). Blood?

What else might they have collected as potential evidence that would either be normally found in a public restroom or not normally found - i.e. something out of place, something unusual.

It can't be her tote bag or lunch box, since those are still missing.

Just brainstorming here.

Actually, no one would know if CWG had scratches, etc., on him because he was supposedly in Texas the whole time, and who would notice/care?

Same goes for ATK -- could have explained the whole thing away BEFORE the sheriff said anything.

That's why I really hope ST does contact LE in Texas and they can verify yes or no if CWG was there in Texas on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

He will.

And -- sorry, this is getting to me -- today in Jax they had a Ride for Somer, with all of the proceeds going to Somer's family! NOT to help find missing children -- it had to be almost $70,000.

Sadnpod -- can you verify this - I know you live in Jax -

Help is one thing, but profiting from a child's murder -- sorry.

And that would be in addition to the well over $13,000.00 she has already received. It is really getting obscene, how much do these people require? In the comment section in one of the papers; someone stated PC quit his job, not sure how true that is of course. Although the public has a right to donate to whoever or whatever this wish, sometimes it is not clear where the money is going and sometimes it changes. I hope Diena shows class & respect for Somer by keeping the minimum they need and voluntarily put the rest towards the reward fund or something to that effect.

Her dad said that LE told him --

Hopefully, LE was telling the truth, because if they're not giving out much info at all and if what they are isn't true -- what can you do with that?

Seriously, this asking for help but not giving ANYTHING out is really stretching the "keeping it close to the vest" thing a little far.

They inferred several times that she had defensive wounds..

Bloody items of clothing also comes to mind.

ETA: continuing my train of thought from my previous post - #526.

We also know that the Gano house was proclaimed a crime scene. We also know they went in there with heavy equipment and did digging. I can't remember if the article said they dug up concrete or not.

Thanks for brainstorming ! I still ask the question of what could be there after a couple of days? Were they alerted to something in the bathroom?

Is the bathroom locked or open all of the time?

Was it ever stated what they actually used that equipment for? If they did, I missed it.

sadnpod-can you ask ST what he knows for facts?

  • #534
okay - here's another fact --

Somer routinely wandered around and no one knew where she was.

So, how come on this particular day, at 3:10 everybody got alarmed? She was only out of sight about 20 minutes at that point. IF SP was at the house, he might have . . . didn't he have to send out AT 2 times to go look (while he did what?) . . I can see AT and the other kids saying "she does this all the time" . . .

IMO, SP was hangin out. Kids came home and AT said she didnt know where somer was. SP said go look for her and he hung out some more. AT came back and said she couldnt find her. SP said look REALLY good and he hung out some more. DT texts him, he says AT cant find somer... and they started to freak.. an hour later, he called friends, she called PC, someone cleaned out the house while others looked, DT looks thru neighorhood and really does start to freak out when she gets to the neighborhood behind school and ( i would think its a reg beat) flags down LE..
I dont know if SP was really there or if DT called and said get to my house somer is missing and I need someone there, so LE wont know they come home to a empty house..and clean while ur there?

ONLY MY OPINIONS WELL GUESSES really

Does anyone know if the bloodhound went into the restroom?

Too bad for you that I'm on the team as I don't have a quick reference. I know that I read it here for sure, but don't remember anything else except that there was discussion about it. Very strange to use heavy equipment, I think.

Anybody have a problem with this, so far?

  • #538
You know - it's kind of hard to imagine that little 7-year-old Somer could do that kind of damage to an adult --
I think she was a spitfire and very independent.. I JUST HOPE SHE DID SOME DAMAGE.. but it would he healed by now I would think

LE have not officially said that was the crime scene, however they were there around the clock for a couple day & then the heavy equipment, so I think it safe to assume it is. I wonder how it was originally determined. I mean I know she was at the house, but did the worker's come in the next day & notice something (like blood) & then phone LE? I wonder how that started. We know the SO V.? was interviewed that Thur. & Fri. & the search & seizure. Was it Thur. & Fri. that the house was processed or Wed. & Thur.? Anyone recall?

I now realize IDGI has already been taken. I was retire on that one. Damn! And I suppose IDGIE is already out there . . .

it's like they (I don't know who) say, "All the great ideas have already been thunk" (paraphrase)

LOL - don't give up... keep trying; you're bound to come up with one.
