I also posted this yesterday and if you map it the park is near PC work. It is very interesting that they were looking in that park .. you have to scroll comments from oldest first
I really hate to ask but I need some Local Information from someone that has been by Somer's house like friday or the week before or this week-end..
please.. was LE still sitting at the house??? please ...... and if so what day were you there to see it? TIA a mil...
you know that old saying - when you've got no news, go over the news you've got (I just made that up - it's not really an old saying)...
More to her post at link. #258 in Thread 17.I asked her to show me something that would prove to her mother that it was really her and she opened her hand and in her palm was a very small turtle. I don't know if they had turtles, or if she wanted a turtle but that is what was shown.
I did ask for a name, first I thought she said Keith which I discounted because that is the name of my best friends deceased husband who likes to come and mess with me when I meditate, so I asked again and she said Kevin. So it's either Keith (as in AKT) or Kevin. I could not get a last name.
I read the story of AKT andwhile I do not believe it's him I do believe this young man was trying to be a copycat and got in over his head.
Once again thanks fir your time.
I am glad that you pointed out the socks. I have wondered about that comment since the beginning. It has been pointed out that Somer was not always supervised so I have a hard time thinking that Mom would be laying out the school clothes all the way to the socks she wore. If she did lay out the clothes wouldn't the socks match the outfit? DT did not take somer to school that morning so I have a hard time with her knowing the socks color
You know, the thing I keep wondering about and which has struck me as odd from the beginning was the use of the word "cranberry" to describe the color of Somer's outfit. Everytime I hear that, it jumps out at me and doesn't sound right. Maybe it means nothing, but to me, it just seems like a very unlikely choice of color-word descriptions. Maroon or "dark red," I can fathom...but cranberry?
To me, it's like saying something is cerulean or celadon instead of just blue or green. Know what I mean? I keep finding myself wondering if no one else has found this unusual!
Sadnpod -
One more thing about CWG -- he has a mole below his eye - a composite drawing of a POI involving the murder of a child in KY -- he supposedly lived nearby this child -- the resemblance is uncanny
The pictures were posted side by side of CWG and the drawing a few weeks ago, and I'm sorry I don't know where, but I wanted to mention this to you!
Justino said one possible contact eliminated was a registered sex offender whose name and address in Orange Park is listed on the incident report that was written after Somer was reported missing. That person was named by someone who later turned out to be mistaken about the identity, Justino said.
I love your user name! (I'm partial to canyons and solstices)
In terms of the description of the color of her outfit, do you think it might be a gender difference? Generally speaking, women tend to use more unusual color words, whereas (again, generally speaking) men tend to use more basic words. Just something I've noticed as I've observed how people describe things. Way back in the day when I went to the DOL to register my newly acquired used Volkswagen camper van, when asked what color it was, I replied "Butterscotch." Needless to say, the color that was listed on my vehicle registration was not butterscotch. It read: gold. It wasn't gold!
But I know what you mean - cranberry is a very specific color word!

My guess is that this is what the manufacturer called it (and therefore the salesperson and therefore DT).
A looooong time ago I worked for a clothing manufacturer, and one season's "cranberry" would be the next season's "cherry" when all we really meant was red.
Yes I also argee on the word Cranberry. Maybe we need to make a list of all the odd statements and facts.. I will start
1. Using an old photo of somer . even the local neighbors didn't recognize her
From Cajun Girl, the side by side of pix of CWG with a sketch from another case:

Also, this sketch was from another victim.

Emphasizing that sketches are not from Somer's case.
Sadnpod, my understanding of CWG on the MPR is:

Sadnpod, did your question about CWG and him registering in Texas get answered? I just remembered you'd asked. I have to dash but will be back this evening, and if someone has not answered that part, then I will.
O/T but if you right click on any of the links in my signature, you can bookmark it for yourself for future reference. I have a Somer Thompson folder, in which I put these. The signature changes sometimes because I'm limited on space and I might have to lop something off eventually.
