I have a question from ST...

Would it be inappropriate for him to send someone to talk to somers neighbor that said she knew her so well and her daughter was somers best friend? Not to ask any questions about the case, but just to get a feel of how somer was in her home? What she was into.. like hannah montana.. basically what are favorite memories... things like that... I KNOW ST is devastated that the reunion he thought he was getting so close to with his children is not possible for him and somer now.. he wants someone to share who she had become and unfortunately DT either doesnt want to share or doesnt know herself....

I do not think it would be inappropriate. Bless his heart. (Sometimes people highly underrate the feelings of Dads. Makes me sad!) However, it should probably be done carefully. Perhaps ST should run it by his lawyer, too, just in case. If AB is tight with DT ...... ST's intent could be twisted to be unrecognizable. JMO

Diena Thompson does not strike me as clever enough to have killed Somer and somehow destroyed or altered all forensic evidence, thereby fooling CCSO, the FBI, NCIS, etc.

Sorry to quote a post from so long ago that none of us might remember the context in which it was posted. But it is relevant, and it is unsettling.

Noway - I agree with you - DT doesn't strike me as clever enough, either, if cleverness is a trait that is required in this crime.

But someone else might think they are clever enough. Someone else at that same location, at that same time, on that same day.

Someone who was named in the MPR as being in the area.

Just so everyone knows - I'm NOT referring to a minor who was also in that vicinity.

I'm referring to only 1 other individual who can be placed at that location at that same time/day, per the MPR.

And, no, I'm not referring to SP, either.

I don't even want to post this. But every other idea, half-baked lead, piece of info, speculation, has led nowhere.

Who would be capable of fooling LE? Who would have the required knowledge in order to mislead the investigation?

What could be more horrible (or at least as horrible) as a parent (or other family member) murdering their own child, so much so that LE hasn't come forward with updates in terms of viable suspects? LE has more or less cleared all RSOs in a 5 mile radius.

Why the silence?

As I said, I don't even want to post this or suggest this. But who is trusted as much as if not more than mothers/fathers/family members, in the minds of the community?

And if that trust were broken...

AS far as sleuthing each other, ask a mod.

It is possible that, yes, the killer could be among us. But the rest of us are entitled to respect and privacy. It has been done in the past when a poster has serious doubts about another poster, they have contacted Admin and asked that the posters posts be reviewed and their IP logged and turned in.

I am sure that with a good enough reason, the mods would do this. It is one of the risks of running a crime board.

We have looked at the responding officer and those working that day. That too lead to a dead end.

Unfortunately every road is leading to a dead end.

Can I throw an AMEN on that one?

Yes, John Walsh said it looks like a serial killer who was on a break and has started killing again. He's bias because of his son. If they cleared the RSO for the most part why haven't they cleared the family? You would think they would clear the family before anyone. I'm concerned about no polygraphs etc of the family. The lawyer said they have someone or someones under observance so that must mean something. Maybe it is someone who has not cooperated. My guess PC or SP.

I just want to say that when I asked the question if she new them it was based on previous posts written with term " I know" and that is not sleuthing someone.

sorrell skye, all else I can think of is someone that would be a pal instead of a ple, if you get what I am saying?

If you look at the KC MS, there are some disturbing cell phone calls. He has a new Facebook page. Not accessible, but maybe if someone from Orange Park looks, they can see the page? I hate to even mention this, but if you are on Facebook and don't have everything privated, people from your Facebook area can see your stuff.

If you change your area to Orange Park, or whatever the area is there, maybe you can read it. You don't have to be from Orange Park.

You can only change your area once every 3 months or something like that. I would do mine, but I have a sleuthing reason, totally unrelated to any crime ,so I don't want to change mine.

I haven't formed a theory that I feel comfortable with.
And while there is still a chance that this is a serial, I don't believe it. I, too, feel that John Walsh doesn't always see things for what they are. His personal experience is so horrible that it clouds his judgement at times, I feel.
I think that it would be a good thing if he would stick to what law enforcement has said, instead of making public, high profile suppositions. MOO

He should ask the sheriff or lead investigator first and the childrens counselor

Do you think they would be looking for a weapon, or blood (in the water pipes & sewer lines that is).

If the crime scene is the house.. yes

Thank you for your response, P, and I always read your posts and take into consideration what you have to say, because you seem to have followed many high profile cases and have second-hand info regarding crimes in the news, and I try to defer to you & others who have kept up with current/past crimes, as you and they generally tend to be more "in the know" than I am (I guess I'm more local).

Please pardon me for saying so, but John Walsh is one of the last people I tend to look to for insight and information regarding child murders/abductions. He couldn't even get his info straight regarding missing/murdered children in Jacksonville when he made that comment on TV about a serial murderer "coming out of retirement" - he gave a time reference of 20 years - but he was off by at least a decade! I spent hours upon hours (as did others here on this board) chasing down those cases based on his misinformation, until I came to the conclusion that he was simply trying to insert himself into the spotlight in order to gain ratings for his program.

John Walsh is not an expert - except perhaps in matters of how to attract viewers to AMW.

I very rarely watch AMW. In the beginning I thought he was genuine. Now I think he's gone Hollywood.
