What freaked me was what he wrote under "who I'd like to meet."

Did you look at the pics, like with his Dad on Christmas? How about the blog? I am totally freaked.

For what it's worth, there is some discussion about the uncle of Somer's friend on Thread 16 if anyone is interested in reading.

ETA

LOL just found where MommaD and I were discussing my shortcut theory.

You know, it was obvious the AMW show on Somer was made in a hurry and airtime was just under five minutes... shame on them. The case of the murderous wife took them the first quarter of the show... and they even have an idea where she is at.

But anyway, one thing I remember seeing was John ask the detective something (was non-audible) and the detective nods and runs his finger right along Arbor Circle.

Not that it means much, but at least we know that the detectives have considered the possibility of she taking that shortcut.

Well, at least I want to think they did.

:)

I swear that when all of that came out about that car.....I swear that I SAW on one of the news channels, OP Chief of Police talking about it, saying something like a notice should have been put out about it.....then all of a sudden, its nothing to worry about...the whole thing makes NO SENSE...too much makes NO SENSE!!

It's simple.

The LE officers involved in the incident came forth, and admitted they were the ones, that there was no abduction attempt, that the girl just fell (when she almost got run over by a van) and they wanted to help.

LE kept it quiet right after, maybe the agents were on an undercover sting (lotsa drugs in the area I hear) and didn't want to blow their cover.

Then under pressure LE admitted the situation to the public.

I believe it.

Though, I KNOW that sometimes some LE officers may get tempted to do bad things. I would imagine the worst could've been they trying to scare the heck out of the poor little girl.

oh jaysus he's an ugly one lol

that is quite the scratch tho isn't it?

It would HELP us a bit if we knew when that picture was taken.

Was the picture taken before Somer's disappearance, right after, or a few weeks later?

By the size of it, if it was a FRESH scratch, it would be bloody and very deep.
IMO

you have to consider that this guy was in the very bottom right corner of a big pic, this is the best I can do with this one.....I need to make another trip soon, but gas and funds are tight for me, so I can't do it for a few weeks at best.....but hey, I tried.....

Cam, I know I speak for everyone when I say thank you for your trips and pics from Orange Park. You have gone way above and beyond the call and it is appreciated!!! You definitely are the super duper sleuther trooper of the Somer Renee Thompson thread. You give us factual information in the form of pictures that we can interpret for ourselves and form our own opinions. Thank you my friend!!!!

it appears to be right after the body was found....I have to look at the video of DT's "we'll coming for you" speech....I think he is in it and wearing that shirt

okay yep it was that day he is behind her and off to the side....wearing that shirt...he's kinda shady ya?

I took another look at the enlarged pic....now maybe its the shadowing, lighting, or something, but does it appear to anyone else like he also has bruising around the eyes, cheekbones, and possibly the nose?

after looking up the date of that video: well if somer was taken and killed on monday the 19th, the date of the video is the 23rd....that scratch looks about right for that time span...not bloody fresh, but certainly not healed.....and same thing goes for bruising if that is what I am seeing in the pic (maybe its my eyes playing tricks on me) idk

I know that you are working your new job, so I was hoping anyone that lives there would do it. There are others, I think, that are local on WS as well.

But some of them seem to hit and run, so I don't know how much I would trust a report from one of them.

Hey human, I live about 11 miles from there, but I work & by the time I get off it's dark. Sad & Shadowizar, don't you live near the neighborhood?

Could the scratch be a scar? He's right there with the family and so is LE. If they haven't noticed the alleged bruising and scratching under their nose ... well I'd lose faith in them pretty fast.

Thanks. I'm not trying to exclude him, just musing to get to the bottom of it, I guess.

I think that if it's a bruise, then it's possible it could've happened a few days before. But, a large scratch would still be healing a few days later.

I'm no medical expert, but it's common sense. Unless it was very superficial, but in that case I don't think it could've been caused by a tiny little 7 year old fingernails.

I dont see any way they couldnt know, its just too obvious. I think they just dont want the public to know.

Just curious what the intials are for tight jeans guy - wanted to see if I was looking at the correct thing. Great Work everyone - nice to come back to this thread and see progress being made and not all the bantering :)

I've been meditating about the tote and the lunchbox.

Somer walks a mile home from school. Of course, we have no idea if it was everyday, or just some days because the neighbor drove the kids home or whatever.

But, a mile is a LOOOOOOONG way for a little kid to walk.

I just changed jobs this year and I had my daughter make me a tote to carry things in it such as papers and notebooks. I love the fabric.

I have to carry it one block from the parking lot to the building where I work. I wish that I had a back pack instead of a tote that I carry because it's a nightmare, even for that short distance.

I think carrying something like was listed for Somer would be very difficult, because even in first grade here, they get homework on top of carrying the lunch box back in the tote.

I can see her going someplace to take a little sit down break because of having to haul that tote around (if it exists).

I think the man thought to be Mr. TJ was CW on the links I followed. But didn't Sadnpod said it was not Mr. TJ after all?

Interesting point about the tote.

I'm not sure how tall Somer was since I've seen her height listed as 3'5", 3'7" and 4'5" but for my daughter who is 3'4" ... it is hard for her to carry a tote because it hits her leg as she walks.

While I don't think Somer would have much homework in first grade, there would be papers and papers to bring home (just my personal experience which may not apply in FL) ... and I agree, unless the straps are just right for the person, totes can be a pain in the behind.

She said it wasn't. But there are some red flags for me. Where has he been for most of his life as the job history just starts a couple of years ago and he sure moves around a lot.
