FYI everyone, I did send my friend a message and asked if she had heard any new information on the case.

From what I have seen here, most everyone has really tried to hold back personal biases and a lot of feelings out of respect for others. I admire the way the site is handled. Surely I have repeated myself many times over with my theories and etc. So, I would like your response to what you would want to know here as far as information; if there are no "hard" facts. In other words, do you want to know "what people are saying", what the general climate is in the area, things like that? Or do you just want to know things like if the police are still around the Thompson home, for example.

What I am trying to say is I don't want to start a fracas over unsubstantiated rumors that may cause members here offense?

Example: If my friend said (and I am making this up) "I heard that when the divorce was final, DT and CPC had a huge party and they moved it to a local bar and binged out all night," - or - (again, made up) "a cousin of one of Somer's teachers said she heard that Somer was in ISS that day," would you want to know that?

I hope I am making sense as I am exhausted, 300 presents to wrap and parties still ahead. God Bless Everyone.

Maybe you can tell us what your friend has said she has heard from the local people and note that it is a rumor if you do not know it to be a fact. Inquiring minds want to know.

59 days since somer disappeared.....I think you'd have noticed it sooner, all the times you've driven the neighbourhood.

It was a bright yellow, with black trim.....I saw it at Kmart shopping, not at the home. I was wondering if it was anyone's that lived there.....

All I have seen at the home, when I paid attention to the vehicles there, were trucks, and motorcycles.....nothing bright yellow that I can recall.....I am driving by again in the next few days....I may even pass by at dark.....we will see

It is possible there is more of a fee associated with interviews now, and they (news stations) just aren't willing to pay. Plus there is nothing new to report. Who is going to pay for old news?

True, I hadn't thought of that. I wish a show like Nighline or 48 hours or an in-depth show would take a look at it. Isn't there a cold case show, or is that for crimes that have been solved? Plus, it hasn't been officially labeled a cold case yet. I just wish someone would follow up. Thanks for the info.

yes, across the back window in decal lettering something like:
In loving memory of Somer R. Thompson, the year of birth and death" not sure what else it said, but the lettering was very big, covered the whole back window....something that I think would be on a family members car.....not a friend or a neighbor.....

I have written all of your questions down and will ask them point by point of my friend tomorrow (i ache all over now); in my last msg. to her I told her she could share or if it felt uncomfortable to do so that was o-k too.

I will also ask her about bright yellow SUV with black stripe and In Memory of Somer across the back?

I feel ya... but most of what we "know" is rumors, or theorys or heresay..., so my motto is to pass it on and just let it be known that it is rumor, or heresay... we can pick what we think is true and we all know very little is an actual fact..

I was glad to pass on one fact I know. That the divorce is final..

There was something similar to this on vehicle in AB's drive.. but it wasnt a yellow SUV. I noticed it on other neighbors vehicles as well.

I havent seen anything bright yellow either. (or pale yellow convertibles either)
