I don't even know if I can celebrate Christmas this year when there has been so much grief for other families?! KWIM?

Personally, this will be a somber year of giving thanks for all that I have to be thankful for, and also for praying for comfort to those who are without comfort.

A beautiful, blessed man once said, as he sat upon a hill:
"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted..."

Sad - I just want you to know that you & yours are in my thoughts & prayers - including all of the Thompson family, both in OP, NC, Jax, and elsewhere.

Sad - if you don't mind answering a question for me - was LH able to attend Somer's funeral in Florida? I hope so. I remember reading an article awhile ago that talked about how grief-stricken LH was when the terrible news about Somer was discovered. The article described how she was sobbing uncontrollably when LE found her body. I detest typing this!!! She seems to love her so much, I hope she was able to travel to Florida, if for no other reason than to be surrounded by others that love Somer & to say good-bye, and to seek healing, if healing is something that can be obtained at this point in time.

I think Diena was the parent of record on the funeral home documents. There is probably a real term for it ... and if anyone knows EDITED ... got name I needed. (name of member in funeral home business)

Good night...Maybe something new tomorow. Maybe LE is just being quiet on purpose. Making him sweat.

The person who signs the documents makes the calls. IIRC... no matter who pays for it

I wonder if M. Freed is under this auspice? Says she "hired" him. But, looks like JC would have provided a liason.

I dont know if he requested hair. IDK if diena got hers. ST did not have to appear and dr said not to travel, but he did. He is on crutches now. Id rather not say if he is here or not. visitation/custody are not settled. His hopes r before christmas.

I hope he gets visitation with those kids....good luck to him with that. And, I hope she has to be the one financially responsible for getting them to him . It's just not right for him to be treated the way he was. Hope she at least has to bring them half way.

I think it would be better to have a neutral third party bring the kids but I agree with hoping he gets to see them.

Goodnight all ... here is hoping for a word or two from LE. A progress report of some kind. ;)

She didnt attend service in fl, that is part of the reason they had the service in NC.

What is up with this weather? The wind is blowin like a small hurricane, the sky is swirling grey and blk with red mixed in. My neighbors inflatable christmas stuff flew off his roof and santa and his sleigh really did fly but are now dancing in the middle of the cul de sac.

It would have been nice for this group to OFFER to make one for him too. JMO

What group was it? Does anyone know?

IIRC - it was the Justice Coalition, according to DT's video statement.

And I agree - it would have been nice for them to have offered to give the father a lock of his daughter's hair. She has TWO parents, after all. In fact, it would have been compassionate for them to offer to do the same for the father that it was reported they did for the mother.

Just wondering - has it been verified that Justice Coalition provided a lock of hair to the mother?

I hope it's true - that the mother received the lock of hair to remember her daughter by.

The father deserves a lock of hair, as well.
