I believe she went through two garbage compactings before she was found at the dump. The actual truck that picked up the dumpster compacts after each dump into it and then that garbage is dumped into a pit and compacted again to load into a semi-truck. Odds are she was way beyond being fixed.

But her legs were intact enough for LE to tentatively identify her by a birthmark on them? And didn't DT say she got to bury ALL of Somer, not just part of her"?

So, sounds like he is the only one who knows whether or not Somer was molested, since that information has not been released.
Him and the group of bikers that had the bike ride for Guinness World record against RSO's......

was reading from the first thread, when news came out....lots of comments...here is one:
How far is a 7 year old going to run? how long is she going to hide? If the father had her he would have notified the police by now I am sure! EVERYONE REMEMBER SHE IS 7!!!! The girl and boy across the street from me walked home from school with her, to gano/debarry then they go separte ways! She does not remember any fight with a friend! So is the sister placing blame on a friend? Was the fight really with the sister and now this has happened and she doesnt want to get in trouble? Sorry but that is how kids think! There were already two different stories given the first one is that the kids were running home and Somer got left behind and then she never showed up at home. Then here comes some arguement with a friend and she hit her and took off? or was the arguement with the sister? As the friends already went the other way, I know this because they were at my house tonight! Even if the fight was with the sister, its not the sisters fault however she needs to tell exactly what happened. i know kids lie so they dont get in to trouble, i have two of them.

I wondered about this alot
Unexplained injuries such as cuts or bruises on the head, arms and hands
I have wondered if these aren't defensive wounds he was asking about

In many cases, the victim will hold up hands and forearms in front of the body in a defensive

Yes. but this was the perp he was talking about, not the victim, right?

I thought this was interesting that they are waiting so long to charge this guy in Sarah Foxwell's case, when they know who did this. May have to wait for special tests? Anyway we were discussing what happens in other cases, so I thought I would post this.

....Prosecutors expect to charge Leggs with Foxwell's murder within the next 30 to 45 days, according to Wicomico County State's Attorney Davis Ruark.
http://www.delmarvanow.com/article/2...-victim-s-home

Prosecutor Davis Ruark said details from an autopsy report likely will be withheld, but the cause of death may be disclosed. Neither he nor Lewis would confirm media reports that Foxwell's body was burned. http://cbs3.com/wireapnewsde/Suspect...2.1393633.html

thanks chickp... He really has a great church family. That was a very emotional day. Ive never seen this before.

You're welcome, BTW found it on First Coast News site (still looking for video of DT talking about not seeing the body). There are quite a few on there I hadn't seen, but i am wiped out today. I always try to post a few links if I can every day, especially F A C T S. God Bless, don't give up, I know you and lots of others have had a hard day and are trying and everyone here cares. Somer knows we care, I'm sure of that. XO to all

Maybe Diena feels she can only speak to how she feels? IDK

Noway, I found this earlier on here. I think it is true. Perhaps DT CAN only speak about how SHE feels and isn't able to participate in abstract or interrogatory questions. I know a lot of people are like that.

As much as I find "circumstantial" things damning to some un named suspects here (which we even are) I have profound respect for (you) posters who are trying to remain open minded and compassionate toward a mother.

When I was primary caregiver for my dad, my brother would call from out of state and give me all of his opinions and advice - he always accused me of being to "soft", etc., it drove me crazy. I would try to explain to him the medical problems and what needed to be done and I could feel him tuning me out...

Eventually, he lost his temper and said, WELL YOU KNOW WHAT, WE DON'T ALL WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD SO EXCUSE ME! I felt that was constructive and have remembered it when I just assume others are "thinking" the way I am.

We all here have opinions and we all care about Somer. We don't all have the same info., life experiences, or perspectives. But then again, neither does any team of "real" investigators. And we have feelings. Thank goodness.

Good Night, everyone.

I
have one foot in the shower and one out here. I just found this on FOX News clicked Somer Thompson. Things never seen before. Mom seen carrying white dress (funeral) and other quotes, etc., if you want to read.

On a previous article (FL) I just read, it said donations could be made to Vystar to help family with funeral expenses. I thought funeral home donated them?

It says "a law enforcement officer" was carrying a white dress from the family home.

Thanks. I will take that as a sign she was found in pretty good shape.
I don't like to imagine the horrors that were posted earlier on the compactor ideas. Still very sad thing in any case.

Yes, I hope so. I have always thought that the reason for people not being able to view somer's body was because of horiffic head and/or facial injuries - something that told LE instantly that this was a homicide. I also wonder why DT didn't carry the dress (usually a family member does, I think) to the funeral home. Didn't she go there that day to make the funeral arrangements?

Diena Thompson declined to be interviewed Friday by The Associated Press. She spent part of the day making funeral arrangements, and a law enforcement officer was seen carrying a child's white dress from the family's home. A viewing will be held Monday night and a funeral will follow on Tuesday.

I suppose he could have just carried it to a vehicle? Or Diena was at the funeral home and they (funeral home) wanted the dress?

It was in a Jax4 story too. (just searched in case other media sources reported it a different way)

After the compactor video, Im questioning if the COD was apparent when they found her like I thought it was. I think just finding her at the dump would imply a homicide?

Family Makes Funeral Plans, Search for Killer Continues
(not sure link will get you straight there)
http://www.news4jax.com/video/21406579/index.html

No suspects among RSOs within 5 mile radius
Van pulled over on Blanding
FDLE crime lab says that anything to do with this case is a TOP PRIORITY
LE has truck and driver of truck in which Somer was brought to Chesser
At Gano house, FDLE still there wrapping things up (What the heck? @6:38ish ... Notice the brown paper bag of evidence (?) leaning against the truck...)
