Thanks for proving the point. Although I think in this case, to use "discarded" when discussing people is a very poor word choice.

Thanks for proving my point too..

I didnt do it... but my words get picked picked picked apart too.

Unless and until such time as DT is cleared in a way as was afforded to CWG, then anyone is free to sleuth her. No matter how displeasing others find that. I did not say one word the entire time that sleuthing was done about CWG or express an opinion about those who chose to do so. Or make comments about whether I thought they were making a mountain out of a molehill or not. I would appreciate the same courtesy.

  • #663
Maybe Diena was never a suspect to LE and they felt that to clear her was unnecessary?

  • #664
I still havent cleared CWG, or any other RSO's at least in my mind. I think sleuthing an RSO listed on the police report was elementary. I didnt imply anyone was making mountains out of mole hills, seriously. Sleuth on.. DT, CWG, WLK, anyone that anyone chooses. PLEASE.

Im not close minded to any possibilities. I just dont see it in DT, but thats only my opinion. I just think going from a description of a jumpsuit to landing in freudian land with orange inmate jumpsuits was a big leap. Pick Pick pick away. Nothing Ive said was meant personal to anyone. Good sleuthing my ws friends. Hopefully we will pick it all apart til we have the golden nugget, kwim?

Wish LE would share a golden nugget or two.

I used to think DT was guilty as well -- I take that back 100 percent after re-reviewing different evidence over the past week. With careful re-examination the DT theory does not fit. Although many "quirks" about the garbage can be made etc.. But it is not enough to make this theory stick in my head.

The only thing DT is guilty of is less than stellar parenting -- maybe some drug activity (Rumor), IMO.

I believe this was an act done by teenagers -- lots of capable ones out there from what a few of us have seen.

As far as the Jumpsuit, Sweatsuit etc.. I use all those terms personally - I am 30 so I don't think how old you are matters -- I personally love my Juicy Jumpsuits -- they technically are not sweat suits nor are they jogging suits which are not typically made of velour -- So I always refer to these as jumpsuits --- if I am in something like workout Adiddas or Nike -- I usually call it a jogging suit or sweatsuit. Since those one piece outfits that Elvis wore have been making their way back onto the fashion scene - those too would be called a jumpsuit -- course the woman 5'9 less than 120lbs are the ones who pull those off in a fashionistic kinda way

You mean they are back!?! I need to get out more I guess - haven't seen anybody wearing them in ages. Of course, I don't watch fashion shows or go to parties or clubs. On a lighter note and O/T, my older sister was dressed in one of these jumpsuits many moons ago, solid black and skin tight. We were getting ready to go to a dance and she was admiring herself in the mirror (she was gorgeous, btw, and knew it). She said "Don't I look like a million?" I couldn't let the opportunity go by without saying, "Yes, but you are only 23."

If it's his DNA under her nails, it would solve this case. Providing they even have his DNA on file. Perhaps the reason this case isn't solved is because no match to the DNA under Somer's nails has been found.

I pray this case is solved very soon. I can't be this upset all the time. I like to speak to Somer and she always tells me it's Campbell who did it. I don't know who Campbell is but there are over 400 Campbells in Orange Park.

I hear you.

New,

OT:

Yes they are back!! Something I would have worn pre-babies if they were in!!!! However, after still having 30lbs more to loose to be that baby weight - One Piece Jumpsuits are not in my near future ;)

I just thought of something else too -- did anyone else ever use the term "Jumper" -- my grandma used to use that too for like certain styles of one piece outfits as well.

Even if the fees were gratis or pro bono. In this case you might have to know whether they send a bill that's been charged then zeroed out.

She might owe taxes on those gifts and services, too. I wonder if the CPA will do those filings gratis?

In high profile matters, a lot of people do things gratis because they could never afford that kind of publicity.

YES!!!
It makes perfect sense to me. I've been saying that since the beginning.
Why some of the early interviews are still being picked apart I will never know.
No one, IMO, can say what they would or would not say after finding out
their daughter has just been taken.
Then, the interviews from right after she was found in a pile of garbage are still being picked apart...IMO how can we take what DT says and over anylize it...over and over...this woman just found out her baby was killed and thrown away.

Like the jumpsuit thing...If God forbid my DD was taken and she was wearing an outfit similar to Somer's I would no doubt say she was wearing a jumpsuit.
It hurts my heart that that would be used against me because some people would not call it that.

Of course...this is all MOO

I don't see anything DT has said that points a finger to her. IMO

I totally understand everyone's frustrations here. I am not picking DT apart. If it were one or two things, I wouldn't even notice. There are many, many things that don't match up. Even so, I believe people are innocent until proven guilty. DNA is a modern, sure fire way to deal with it. But I think in terms of how a person would sleuth this case without modern technology, and you would have to tie a lot of things together.

Whoever did it, there are a lot of things that just do not make sense.

Finally, I wish everyone here would just allow everyone their opinions and not take offense. It doesn't help Somer for anyone here to be picking on anyone else, and I think we all just want to see it taken care of.

Does anyone else think that some things are picked, picked, picked apart until something, anything is found that matches what was being looked for in the beginning. I.e., DT's guilt.. that her speech is picked apart by some until, finally, they find the "nugget" they have been searching for to support what they say, even though the mountain they searched to get there didnt support it at all? LOL.. does this make sense to anyone.. anyone kwim?

I do, and I agree. This site has become very sad, Sad! KWIM!

Yes, my mother use to make "jumpers" for kids. She made one for my son when he was a baby. I still have the picture of him in it. It was one piece with wide straps that came over the shoulders and buttoned to the front of the outfit. It was summer time, so this particular jumper had short legs. So cute.

Well, here's an article that will give you something to talk about. Go to Jacksonville.com , there is an article there that is most interesting (today) by Jim . Link did not work , Sorry

The fact that I disagree does not mean I am taking offense.
When I quote someone and give my opinion that is other than the original poster's, it simply means I disagree, not that I am taking offense.

I found the article too. Too bad the warning signs weren't addressed and Somer protected.

Maybe Diena was never a suspect to LE and they felt that to clear her was unnecessary?

This is a possibility and I am open to all possibilities. But I can't recall any similar cases to this one, where the case went on for so long with so many people feeling so strongly about this subject. I would think (IMO) that LE would make some kind of statement to the effect that DT and the family are cleared. The only thing I can recall is what I posted a little way back, somebody said that LE told DT the perp wasn't "anyone she knew" (?) sorry too tired to go back and look right now.

Again, I want to point out that for ME, it is not one thing like "jumpsuit vs. sweatsuit" or DT not having access to autopsy reports - and based on protocol, this is highly unusual. It isn't just that she said this or that, didn't call 911, all the things that have been discussed. It is not JUST this or that, it is a whole lot of things.

Please I hope everyone will admit to the fact that there are many here who had one theory or another and later changed it. Some people were convinced DT was guilty and then thought otherwise based on other information. Some people were convinced it was a sexual murder and then "did a 360" later. I do not take it personally when someone is convinced about what they feel strongly about. I am a mother, I do get annoyed when people infer I am heartless or stubborn or whatever and don't care about this woman's pain. Or "challenge" me to "prove" this or that. If we had proof, the case would be solved.

If we are not allowed to discuss possibilities, then what is the point of discussing it at all?

LATE EDIT: Regarding "picking" on DT.

(SICK) (HEAD BANG) (GAG) WHERE IS THE CRYING ICON?
