Nevermind, I see ccanes post about "talk on another website".

So book being in the works by family is RUMOR.

Here is the whole post for ref to the rumor
Well Mr Freed does alot of writing so I wondered if he was there to see a publisher
There is also talk on another website that makes mention of the family making a book.. but these are just my thoughts

I saw it. That's why I said nevermind. It was clear from your statement it came from talk on another site. So, it's rumor.

IIRC he referred Freed.

Do you have the link by any chance
I will look into the FL laws on LE picking lawyers for people
Doesn't sound very legal ?

No link. I'm on my phone. Computers broke.
That's why I said IIRC.

I don't think they picked him for her, he suggested him. IMO there is a difference.

It wouldn't be legal if they told her to hire him, but a suggestion would not be illegal IMO.

Here is an explaination, that I think explains it perfectly:

On the list of things to do, besides ruling out all known sex offenders as suspects, one avenue of concern was possible disposal methods, and this is where garbage trucks came under scrutiny. An officer suggested to Sheriff Beseler early Tuesday morning, even before CART procedures were set in motion, that each truck leaving Orange Park be followed to its dumping destination. And that is how Somer’s body was found in a Georgia landfill within 48 hours of the time she disappeared.

DT's attorney, Michael Freed also represents Shaniya's dad. I cannot find any of his other cases, the last article states that he is an advocate for victims of human trafficking. Will anyone help me sleuth his other cases?

  • #288
The Justice coalition Rep was there and seen in the video with DT. I cant remember her name off the top of my head but DT gave her a hug after talking to the press. The JC role is the Liaison for the media etc

Her name is Ann Dugger... she is a warm, compassionate, caring woman who has been a victim of crime herself. I have had the honor of working with Ann a few years ago at an event - a real class act!

I have tried Sadnpod & I couldn't find anyother cases. I know in that last article it was implied he is an advocate for victims, but I couldn't find any connections or affiliations with groups...no luck on my end. Maybe some others could check??? I just couldn't find a link.

What does Freed's client list have to do with Somer's murder.

I ask this because Noway was told by Hoppy yesterday I believe that she could look into and post about the childrens trust fund if she could tie it to Somers murder.

Thank you.. yes she is the one I saw in the video

Can I get legal advice or information from FDLE?

FDLE cannot provide legal advice to those outside the department. General items of interest may be posted at the FDLE office of general counsel web page on the FDLE web site. Below are some other web sites that provide the text of Florida Law and Administrative Code:
•Florida On-Line Sunshine, the Florida Legislature Web Site
•Florida Administrative Code
Can FDLE provide addresses and phone numbers of other Criminal Justice agencies?
•FDLE can provide an address listing and mailing labels for the criminal justice agencies in Florida. The majority of the telephone numbers listed are for the Chief or Sheriff of the particular agency, although some will be for the training or personnel divisions. You may access this information through the FDLE web site.
MyFlorida.com is also an excellent resource for addresses and phone numbers.

Maybe you should report the sheriff.

Ccane: what difference does it make if the sheriff recommended an atty to DT?

He's not a criminal defense atty.

That does explain it perfectly.

Until you read another article that explains that [ame="http://websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4525442&postcount=14"]Joe Jett[/ame], not Bruce Owens was the one who thought of it. (going to post link in a few, if I saved ... from November 7 presser.)

And then you read another article that an FBI agent (Frousseau) was the one that thought of it.

And then you don't believe much of anything you read or hear out of the mouths of LE.
And then your head just spins.

I hear you LOL, we have been all over this...it was so confusing. :banghead: Was it a hunch or did the officer remember the C.A.R.T. training that happened shortly before Somer went missing, did he invent perhaps a new protocal? Who knows, I was just about to hit your page 35 info. Regardless, they did GREAT!

Kimberly perhaps you could supply the link that the sheriff stated that? TIA

Again, like I said a few posts up... I don't have a link, I'm on my phone, my computers broke, that's why I said IIRC.

It was not stated as fact, I said IF I remember corectly.

I did not state it as a fact,I don't have a link.

But I do know it's been discussed here several times.
