They had searched homes on Gano, hadn't they ... that Monday-Tuesday Somer disappeared?

But I thought I'd heard on the live newscast that they had searched one down the street from XXXX. They could mean 1080 (they are about 459 feet apart).

When I looked at the street view of this house, it looked like there was a fence next to it enclosing that drainage ditch that was talked about so much as being Somer's shortcut. Is there any way to repost that drainage ditch map putting in this new location?

I think the police and FBI did an awesome job with this. They kept it close to the vest-which was really hard on us-but they did what they needed to do, without spooking the guy. Everyone who helped find this darling girls killer can feel proud today.

Maybe now, LE can finally tell DT and ST the COD and tell them why they did not want Somer viewed. I know DT has said that is one of the hardest parts. The not knowing.
I'm sure ST feels the same way.

I can not imagine months of not knowing how my child was murdered or the condition she was found in.

As soon as they charge him w/ murder they are required to comply with speedy trial rules. With him sitting in jail on child , they have extra time to get their evidence together.

Yes, and the FBI will attempt to identify all of the children in the child .

I hope the FBI will be able to identify them.

This deserves the DP if he did kill Somer.

I can't speak of Mississippi, but there are plenty of Harrells in N. Fla. Lots of them, actually. At least I know a whole bunch of 'em.

According to documents released by the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Harrell possessed child on his computer at a Wells Road apartment complex. Harrell was asked to move out of his residence in August after his roommates found out that he stole from them, according to an arrest warrant. He left the residence, leaving his computer and a box of CDs behind, according to the warrant.

While Harrell was gone, the roommates got into the computer to search for child after they had been told Harrell had been caught looking at child , according to the warrant. They opened the images and found a nude white girl between the age of 6 and 8, and the computer was turned over to the sheriff's office on Aug. 10, according to the warrant.

The FBI and Clay County Deputies search a home on Gano Avenue near where Somer Thompson was last seen before she was found killed.

According to the arrest warrant, the computer was processed by the attorney general's office, and that's when movies and other child items were found.

Seems to me they knew about the child before the disappearance of Somer. Makes me wonder if they've had their POI all along.

Someone posted earlier that he went to college there. Two colleges I know of in Meridian, MS are Meridian Community College and a branch of Mississippi State University.

It looks like this guy's was turned in, before Somer was missing.

According to arresting documents, a cluster of child images and video was found on several CDs and a computer Harrell used when he lived with roommates at a home in Orange Park, Fla, in August. The computer, which had a filed called "Toddler Insertion," held "a large amount of child erotica and also child ," documents said.

The roommates, who discovered the files, turned the computer over to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on Aug. 10, two months before Thompson disappeared.

Yeah, I can see your thought on that...but, that's a good bit away. IMO HaLeigh was not taken by a stranger, but that's JMO.

But, it would not hurt for LE to look into it. I'm sure they will.

i believe they got that info from a myspace that they really aren't sure belongs to him. On that myspace, the college is listed out as being in Perkinston ... but to be honest...if that is even him, I think the myspace is fake. For one, the pics don't match up and all of his "friends" seem to be from a gaming board. They are all old profiles that are not used with the exception of one or two.

my whole point of bringing up the lack of "harrell's" in meridian was to maybe draw some type of tie to the ones there. looking up the last name within that town only gives a few choices...so im sure one of them is either a parent or relative. it may help in finding more "dirt" on him...in other words
