I must be missing something cause I don't understand why all the focus on the neighbor! I doubt the neighbor has much to do with any forensic evidence that may come back. Let's not forget about the big reward that may prompt people to suddenly remember oddities. moo

I'm not saying that the neighbor has anything to do with the forensic evidence that may come back. All I'm saying is I don't think it would take me that long to be suspicious if I saw my neighbor come outside to smoke and wash his car ONLY while the neighborhood children walked from school. But that is JMO.

Yes. Pedophiles are usually more careful about who has access to their little secrets, is what I am trying to say. He does not fit the type of a molester/murder IMO. Not when you consider all of the factors we have been discussing, such as carefully planning, having prior contact and covering his crime(s).

Could be that he's mad at his roommates for accusing him of stealing an ipod - Jarrad has lost jobs due to his quick temper, it is said 'he loses it' when mad. He could have left his collection with roommates intending to go back and get it, or maybe he was trying to set them up.

I wonder where he got all the money for his child and I'm really wondering if any was found on the computers he has used since leaving his own computer behind. They took his Aunt's computer - wonder why?

as far as the neighbor's go, what I meant was that for a LONG time, the community did not have any idea of who the perp may be. If it was in my neighborhood, we would be freaking out and talking with others to discuss what anyone might see or know.

After all, who could possibly guess who the next victim might be. But the community was so mum on it all. There would be chatter like mad where I live. That's what I find really strange.

JH fits the profile so well of someone who would do this crime. His charges only mention possessing, not making child , which is a third degree felony.

That indicates that he did not make any himself. I really wonder what it means that Rod B said that lots more will be coming out about this case.

I wonder if that means that others will be going down or complicit, or what it means.

I don't think that the dog was on the property anymore on that fateful day.

I wonder how he got her?

When he returns to Florida, what does the Sunshine Law mean? What info will be out there?

Although I cannot be absolutely sure, I think I heard or read that he would come outside every day at that time of day, something to that affect. But I did not hear or read that these neighbors saw him outside on that particular Monday when somer went missing, so IDK. Kinda odd, isn't it, that they saw him outside on lots of other days, but not on Monday, October 19th around 2:45 p.m. as far as I know? Also, I wonder if the neighbors ever saw him come out and smoke or wash his car during the time children walked home from school AFTER somer's body was found in the landfill. That would be interesting to find out if he stopped doing it AFTER the murder.

In the Abraham Shakespeare case, which happened near Tampa, the criminal report affidavit was made public when first degree murder charges were filed against her. It gives the case history and evidence against her.

Not that I think that the child is OK, not in the tiniest tiniest bit, but the million dollar bail seems excessive for the third degree felony charge.

I don't want to see him on the streets ever, but third degree doesn't seem to warrant such a big bail, does it? That's what makes me think that they are going to charge him with the murder.

Or maybe it's so much because each picture is a third degree felony? IDK

There's just the details of the computer being turned over first to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on August 10th, then the JSO determined it was out of its jurisdiction and JSO turned it over to the Clay County Sheriff's Office. on August 13th.

The CCSO then turned it over to the SAG's office September 25th.

Note: somehow it remained at the CCSO a month and a half?

Tough to say about the bail. It looks like most people get $100,000 or less but in a recent highly publicized case against an Army sergeant in Alabama he got $5.4 million bail. Maybe that was because he was seen actually performing sex acts with minors on video.

My guess about filing charges is it may very well depend on the investigation. If they have to get more things in order, get back lab tests or things like that it may take a while. But that's just a guess.

I for one am glad to see that LE seems to be building a solid case against Harrell

He IS being extradicted. Gov Christ has taken an interest in this and I think they will get Justice for Somer and prevent future tragedies

Here in Florida we have seen things go wrong so many times....perfect example was in Jessica Lundford case when overeager Keystone Kops questioned Coey's sister, neice and their druggy lover without Miranda....those 3 can NEVER be prosecuted now, even though they were in a single wide trailer where a little girl was raped for days
they are free and clear

Just an aside from a lawyer regarding 'innocent until proven guilty':

Innocent until proven guilty is a legal device to require the prosecutor to prove his case (in this case beyond a reasonable doubt). But we don't have to make that assumption since we aren't the jury. In the case of most accuseds there's actually a presumption they're probably guilty. Which is why bail is required and jail is given to those "innocent until proven guilty" who are flight risks and who can't make bail.

There's nothing uncomfortable about JH behind bars for child - rightfully so!

What's UNCOMFORTABLE is the idea that he could be a scapegoat for Somer's murder.

Just to be clear: Scapegoating is the practice of singling out one child, employee or member of a group of peers for unmerited negative treatment or blame for something they did not do. Related concepts include frameup, whipping boy and fall guy.

I'm waiting for the FACTS to be presented before I get comfortable...

Do a little reading on what his neighbor (Larry?) Jones went through being accused of the prior rapes, and how he suspects Williams was setting him up for the murder of Lloyd. If he'd succeeded in planting "evidence" and if not for that roadside check...
