I have to say that I strongly hope JH is involved with Somers death but I get a feeling he's not involved. When Somer first went missing didn't LE's hinky meter go off right away about this guy, after all they knew about the child on his computer right. Even if they didn't know where he he was currently living (which should have been a BIG RED FLAG) they did have his picture, get it through DMV easily...LE even said theres a monster out there and your children are in danger..(something like that)...Anyway why wasnt he a PIO then??? why didnt they show his picture to the public....Am I missing something??? I just don't see this guy involved. A SO yes, but having child , to murder. It doesn't fit in. He had no violent rap sheet just traffic violations. JMO..

I feel too there are a lot of questions that remain unanswered in this case. We don't even know for sure whether J.H's DNA will be a match. As i have stated before there are literally thousands out there with a sick interest in child ., but i don't think they all act this out. Guess time will tell.
This seems to smack of what happened in the Cummings/Croslin case with the bond money getting increased and they nabbed them certainly on the drug trafficking charges! Do they only do this if they think someone is definitely guilty of something?

That is a good question. Don't LE arrest or charge anyone they find that have involving children on their computer? I definitely thought it was a crime anyway.

The timeline on the computer, arrest, etc. has been posted previously in this thread. I'll see if I can find it for you.

They did not start officially examining the computer until Oct. 9, but the person who turned in told LE the week after Somer died that JH had been living in that house alone. The house is located between the burned-out house where Somer was last spotted and the last crossing guard (the one who didn't see Somer the day she disappeared).

LE asked JH's presumed biological father for a DNA sample likely at the beginning of January, according to an article, and his step-mother said they asked JH's father because JH had refused to provide a sample.

A lot has been going on within the investigation. It just wasn't public.

None of this means he's guilty, of course, but I don't think LE is being unreasonable in naming him a POI.

People do terrible things for years without getting caught - no "rap sheet." That's how serial killers get away with murder.

This man is only 24 years old. That's pretty young.

Well, that is a very good thing for sure. Yes, the sooner society is rid of them the better.
What also makes me really sick also, is that a lot of child molestation goes on in the homes of children, where the parents are supposed to love and care for their children. Sometimes this is never told until a child grows up. I don't think God will have much mercy on that kind, on no one that hurts the little ones and the defenseless. It makes me cry.

no they did not know about the child on his computer. The investigation of his computer was not yet completed at that time

There are many needed steps to investigating child and the electronic footprint needed to be successful in a conviction. They could not just assume he was guilty until they had proven it. That being said, how could LE have shown his picture to the public??? Not to mention there are different departments within law enforcement that run different investigations.

I happen to think they have the right guy. That is just my opinion though. And my other opinion is that LE did their very best to investigate this case. If it weren't for forward thinking of LE we would not even have Somer's body and all that evidence that was found at the landfill... The evidence that will tie all of these points together.

I find this latest charge very interesting and look forward to all the other charges to come. If they are as professional as they have been the entire time (LE) we will not hear a peep or iota of it until they slam it down onto him and not a second sooner. My hat is off to LE in this case. Moo
