JMO, but that would make him a POI in LE's eyes for over 8 weeks now. I think they must be really close to filing charges & willing to bet it will be before next Weds.

A person of interest can have information regarding a crime too; they are not always the perp.

I think they either had DNA or were hoping to get DNA results from some piece of evidence.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. They didn't have the sd card when they asked for DNA from JHs dad. Why would they go to all that trouble unless they had something to compare it to.

IMO they had DNA evidence they got from Somers body. Either under her nails or an internal cavity. They swabbed the father then 6 weeks later, I think the tests came back. I think they were some of the tests they were waiting for that came back shortly before JH was nabbed.

I totally believe in my heart that they do have DNA and that there was a match on his dads. That match would just confirm their suspicions, but would be no good in the court of law, as they would need actual DNA from JH himself to test. I think they would have his DNA very shortly after he was arrested, and that, along with all the other stuff they took from their searches, would have to be sent back for testing. I do believe it is complicated due to Somer being found in trash and all the cross contamination with the million things that are found in garbage. Makes me think it is not unusual that all this testing is taking so long, as complicated as it all is. As far as where the dogs/dog lost her scent, IMO it could be a a lot reasons why and does not set in stone the last place she was. I hope and pray and wait, but I do not think we will have to wait much longer. Its either got to be "JH being charged with Murder of Somer" or "JH is no longer a POI in Somers case" I believe it will be the former, but either way he already is going down for what they do have him on.

Dar107 - I'm at a loss my friend! Why would you ask such a question? If there were pics of Somer on the internet we would have heard of that some 38 threads ago, months and months ago.

I hope this beautiful child can rest in peace with memories of her loving family and siblings. I will remember her always as a caring, spunky, loving and gentle child who loved bunnies, puppies, and would go to the library with her little friends to look at pictures of the animals she couldn't touch in person. NOBODY has the right to tarnish her image - NOBODY!!! MOO

Man Has Bizarre Connection To Harrell

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Joseph Newman, who's predicting the possible end of the world in 2012 and has been featured on the Johnny Carson show for inventing a well-publicized energy machine, has a bizarre connection to Jarred Harrell, the man named as a person of interest in the killing of Somer Thompson.

Two newspaper articles that are more than 20 years old detail how Newman married Harrell's mother and his 8-year-old sister.

Newman told the newspaper God told him to do it.

Harrell's mother told the paper that her daughter loves Newman and is committed to him.

What are the reasons that you see how the dogs did not get a scent? Especially if she went into the yard where there is grass?
