I had also wondered if looking into his computer without permission, or having it seized and searched without his knowledge would violate his privacy rights.
Like you said, he left it when he moved out. I wonder if his telling the friends he would pick it up later on at a certain date would make a difference.
And, after getting the complaint by the roommates the police just could not cross their hands and ignore it, even if the friends violated JH's privacy rights.
One thing, though... I don't know the circumstances of how the friends found theand the reasons why they took it to police, but it had to be VERY difficult because of the judicial process.
They knew their property would be searched, their names would be run through LE records, their lives would be turned upside down while the case goes on, etc...
I don't think they would get the reward money because to get the money the tip had to be run through their hotline, or that is how most times it is done. But, I don't know.
So, these people have done a great service to the community and their courage should be thanked by all. I mean, hadn't been for their part, this JH guy would be a free range chicken in Meridian, having gotten away with horrible crimes.
and/or produced it --- and he gets off on some technicality because his "privacy rights" were violated -- then we might as well just open up our front doors and put a sign outside that says -- come in and murder, rape and abuse me or my children. We need HARSH changes in our judicial system - JUDGES NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE!!! And with my plan, THEY ARE GOING TO BE AND SOON!!! Let's hope I don't offend some bleeding heart, sex offender friendly judges who after me their hit men. When I report their rulings to the world - so when they go to the polls they know who they are voting for. In any case, I know WS will have this archeived with my name attached -- so when I am out doing good in this world -- and I turn up dead for reporting the facts --- everyone will know where to look! When you go to the polls to vote - How informed are you about the judicial candidates? I certainly am not and I am am well informed in all other aspects of the candidates. I plan on informing the public -- this last two months alone would add DISGUSTING rulings by judges which in turn several innocent lives were lost by violent offenders. All you need to do is read this wonderful informative website to see what is going on in the world. It should be on every computer's home page in America.
