Hi all, had to take a break from all of these awful crimes. Catching up on Somer's case now.

Just wanted to chime in about JH leaving his laptop - there's no "privacy rights" concerns with his friends snooping and turning it into LE. 4th Amendment only protects searches BY LE, doesn't protect you from a civilian turning you in. LE couldn't have gone into the house to take the computer without a warrant, but once the files were brought to their attention by someone else, whatever is turned over is fair game. Whew.

lawlady - thanks for giving us that information. Always good to know that LE need a warrant and can't just go into a person's 'stuff' on someone elses word. moo

Just as I said -- Did he babysit? For anyone?? Or could have he ever babysat the children of T household?? As another sleuther pointed out to me, the whole throw my baby in the trash statement - still miffs me, JMO... think about it.. Will have to use critical thinking after that. I don't have any proof on this in any which way or how direction. But could he have been a babysitter?? It is just another angle to look at.

Hey I just believe in keeping it as logical and simple as possible until other evidence points me in a direction. There is no reason to make it all complicated with extra whistles, gears and widgets that lead nowhere.

Every time something new comes out about this , it gets worse. P O CRAP makes me sick. Makes me wonder what more they might have found during the searches and whats to come. At least he has been stopped now, whether or not it turns out he is responsible for Somer's murder, he was hurting 1 child that we know of for sure.

Yes and I am willing to take mom's word for it. She has no reason to lie. The wait for information on the possibility of JH being the one who did this to her baby girl must be excruciating.

I don't see how we can even think JH babysat Somer or the other T children.

The family has already said they didn't know him. And why would anyone trust a 20 something year old male to babysit? Only people I would think would do that is family or close friends. I don't think T family is in either of those groups.

Almost? I think I would have to have more information before putting him ahead of her. She has quite a few more years under her belt.

The arrest warrant states detectives found, on the camera's storage data card, a video and 11 still images.
Police described the pictures as that of "a partially nude, white female child between the ages of 3- to 5-years old."
According to the warrant, the little girl was asked to "...place herself in different positions during recording."
It states Harrell "...was also seen on the recording taking his hand and spreading" the little girl's body parts in order to expose her genitals.

after reading all this not am i officially sick but I would have no doubt that he did this to somer and erased it all after learning her body was found. this guy is the king of sickness, give me five minutes in a locked room with him and turn your back and hold your ears. this is sooo sickening

Hmmm.....sounds like the timeline as far as JH is concerned is something like this:

1) is found on his computer, it is turned in.
2) Much time passes while the investigation proceeds.
3) The cops decide to do something and execute search warrants on known places of residence for more evidence.
4) They find the camera with the material he recorded, and find out that it was made at the Gano residence.
5) JH becomes a person of interest in the Somer case based on what he was doing while at living at Gano.

It doesn't sound like they have direct evidence implicating him in Somer's case though, just the correlation between him doing what he did at Gano and the dissappearance of Somer makes him suspicious.

I am not a blind follower of anything but I think they got the guy who killed Somer and I think charges will be coming in the future.

I am certainly not a blind follower either, Dr. Fessel. I also happen to think that murder charges will be brought against JH in the future. I have thought that since we first heard of him and the 29 child charges. When the molestation charges came along, it just further convinced me that LE had their man.

Only a jury can convict him, of course. I have seen enough now to firmly believe that JH murdered Somer. I do not need to see further proof to have an opinion of it. A judge and jury will be the ones the prosecution has to convince - not me.

LE already has enough solid proof with the child and molestation charges to put this disgusting away for a long, long time.
