I am thinking of Diena's prophetic declaration in her first heartbreaking news conference after Somer's body was found.

"I hope they find you and I hope they make you pay." "You don't thow my baby in the garbage like she's trash!" And my favorite....'We're coming for you." ...stated with such conviction.

My apologies if this is not ver batim as I'm repeating from memory. I have been so impressed with her strength thoughout this nightmare. Hang in there Diena. Your darling baby, Somer, will receive justice for her horrendous death. And you were right lady, LE got him!

Somer will always be remembered by many who never knew her.

My prayers are with Diena and Somer's family and friends on this somber day.

I am very impressed with the LEA who investiated this case. Job well done!

Oh my gosh, I just heard the news. Finally! An arrest! I am so relieved. Now we can see some justice for Somer. Blessed Be!

"We are hopeful that it will be good news that will permit Somer's family to begin the healing process," Michael Freed, the lawyer for Somer's mother, Diena Thompson, told The Associated Press on Friday morning. "We will all find out the details at the same time. All developments are bittersweet for Diena as she gets information that she desperately thirsts for but she is forced to relive the truth that she will never see Somer again in this life."
