It also said in the police report that the direction she took off running in was a group of school kids.

I agree its most likely a SO though.
What's so frustrating right now is she was last seen by a witness(es) in front of this vacant house, but no one saw anything happen. :banghead:

Neighbor back on Nancy Grace. Nancy asked her about the families plans now and she is saying as soon as they get her back home they do have a funeral home locally who is taking care of everything.

Great info, thanks for the link. That cleared a few things up.

I just saw on NG that she was last seen near a burned out house. Is this verified. I'm trying to catch up, sorry if I missed it on here.

Right..witnesses last saw Somer outside of a vacant house that caught fire a few months back. LE have set up a mobile command unit outside of that home, which is also across the street from a park and according to a reporter on NG tonight, LE has taken a bag of evidence out of the bathroom of that park.

Thanks!! LE is right on top of this one and it's awesome. I hope and pray they find him/them/whomever SOON!

The bag could just be every item recovered from the restroom and after analysis may turn out to be nothing. I hope that's not true, but I remember there were a lot of things collected from where Caylee was found that were unrelated. :( MOO

Even though the most likely is a SO, it isn't beyond comprehension that a group of kids could have been involved. That's why more details about the COD could be useful. MOO

I was thinking along those lines this morning. In fact I started to post it but changed my mind. What if some older kids put her in the trash bin and she was too small to crawl out. If the truck came along to pick up the bin, the driver might not hear her over the noise of the truck. It is probably some SO but this thought has entered my mind several times.

This park and these bathrooms were used the last few days by LOTS of people helping with the search. This park area was the command center, there are woods all along one side of this park also. I was told that this park was one of the first places searched by LE when Somer came up missing....can't imagine they would just now be finding something in a bathroom that has been used by probably hundreds of people in the last few days...but you just never know....this house is just two doors down from the crossing guard that we spoke with on the corner of Grove Park and Gano, that told me she never made it to his crossing...news kept reporting over and over again that she made it to Debarry and Gano, made the right turn there on Debarry and was headed home, but this crossing guard told me a diff story.....

park bathroom: they could have taken out sink traps, etc to take back to the lab.. (just thinking)

I've thought about it too alternating with the possibility of a SO. Some kids can be very mean and think doing something like stuffing a smaller child into a trash container is "funny". I know. One of my cats was "disposed of" in that manner as a baby (before I adopted her), but fortunately was found before she suffocated or ended up in a landfill. MOO

Annie, I had these thoughts also....when I arrived on Tuesday with My son, and GrannyL, we searched several dumpsters.....most were almost empty....the trash was dumped earlier that morning, before we got there....so I am thinking that if the three of us thought of checking dumpsters, I imagine that that whole community thought to check it the night prior when she first went missing, LE was also out that night and would have checked. My thoughts on this is that she was dumped somewhere other than this community, but still in the city limits, therefore ending up in the same trash trucks as the community trash....

This might have already been mentioned (I'm at work and trying to keep up in between actual work;-D). Is this burned out house being worked on? And could it possibly have one of those constuction dumpsters outside of it?

who knows, wouldn't it be something if it came from a dumpster on McIntosh?? I did speak to LE about this....Later on Wed, I drove down McIntosh, just to check out the area, and it was a very creepy area....

The fact that LE seem to be focusing on TUESDAY as being the day she was dumped leads me to believe that something happened to Somer later Monday evening. I think she was discarded the following day most likely in the morning. As hard as it is to say this the SO probably raped her a few times before killing her and that is why I think she was dumped the following day. I am just thinking this because they said she was partially clothed.

Tuesday is the day that the trash is collected, early in the morning....it is then taken to a land fill named "Rosemary Hill" in Green Cove Springs Florida, then it is transferred to diff trucks and taken to the land fill in Georgia....this all happened on Tuesday....LE followed the trash trucks all day long, had a detective following each truck...

I agree with you, it's somebody in the neighborhood who knew the trash would be picked up Tuesday morning. I hope she didn't endure a night of suffering but was killed quickly and the perp just chose to wait until morning to put her body in a trash container. MOO

I am so proud of LE reacting so fast in this manner. Studies have long said that bodies being dumped into a dumpster is so effective that 70 percent of them would have positive hits by cadaver dogs.

I might be reading too much into this, but…the incident report in above posts has me asking a lot of questions…
1. Where was Somer’s twin while SP sent the oldest daughter (AT) to look for Somer?
2. What was SP doing from 3:10 to 5:00 when the boyfriend arrived?
3. DP says she got a text from SP around 4:00 stating Somer didn’t come home
4. SP says DP sent him a text around 4:00 checking in kids and that’s when he told DP that Somer didn’t make it home
5. Boyfriend picked up Somer’s twin from residence (implied) around 5:00 and went to look for Somer---AT (sister) still out looking for Somer
Doesn’t mention if SP was still at residence when officers and DP relocated to residence to take report…wonder how long or if SP was at the residence alone? Also wonder if Somer’s twin saw SP or what he was doing while AT was looking for sister…especially since SP sent AT back out to look for sister???
Not trying to implicate any innocent party, it just seems coincidental that SP would agree to watch the kids for the first time the day Somer went missing. That along with other info in report seemd “odd”…IMO.
Does anyone know if there are any previous news reports out there that answer any of these questions? I looked but can’t seem to find any…off to look for more!

I too applaud LE in this case. It also makes me wonder how many other cases could've been solved if other LE agencies had done the same? It may not be many, but the same method of disposal could have happened before. MOO
