Circumstances of Disappearance:
Stuart and his older brother, Scott, had a keg party at their home in the 4500 block of Edgewater Drive in Orlando, Florida on January 7, 1990. He got dressed up and left the party and got a ride to the Fairbanks Inn, a bar in Winter Park, Florida in the early morning hours. He had frequently gone there with his brother, but had never gone by himself before.

At 1:30 a.m., Stuart called his roommate and said he with a woman and the woman's husband was there. He said, "If you don't hear from me, worry about me." He bought a six-pack of beer at the Fairbanks Inn, and left on foot. He has never been heard from again.

Authorities subsequently interviewed the woman Stuart was with on the night of his disappearance. She denied having flirted with him and said she left the Fairbanks Inn with her husband.

Stuart was born in West Virginia, the youngest of five sons, shortly after his father's death. He was raised in poverty and lived in public housing. Scott and Stuart were very close, and played together in several bands at night while Stuart worked as an electrician during the day. He was popular with women and also enjoyed fishing and water-skiing.

Scott described his brother as a "material boy" who was interested in owning nice things. He owned a boat and two cars, and his brother didn't believe he would have simply left all his belongings behind. The circumstances surrounding Stuart's disappearance are unclear and his whereabouts remain unknown.

This snip from the article in paper with date as shown, indicates he went missing at 1 AM on January 1, 1990; as in right after the new year was rung in.

Has anyone put together that 3 people went missing from the Fairbanks Inn in Winter Park 3 years in a row ? Dwayne David DeFazio: missing since 05/27/89, Stuart Owen Collins: missing since 01/07/90, and Roxanne Saucer Martin: missing since 05/04/91. Is it possible Kenny Arnold was a part of all 3? Just something to think about. If anyone has any insights let me know. And maybe his date of disappearance is wrong on the Charley Project

I wonder who saw Stuart leave on foot after buying a six-pack. Was it other patrons? Was it the woman and her husband?

Even if Stuart did leave alone, the woman and her husband could've still been involved. Maybe they invited him over for whatever reason and asked him to get the beer while they went to get their car. To other witnesses, then, it would've looked like Stuart was leaving alone. Given Stuart's cryptic warning that "if you don't hear from me, worry about me," I feel like there has to be a connection here.

As for the other people who disappeared from this bar, yeah that is weird. I'm not familiar with Kenny Arnold, but I note that the other two missing people disappeared in May. Could it have been someone who regularly visited the area in that month and maybe around the holidays (since Stuart disappeared a week after New Year's)? Does this fit the woman and her husband?
