Purple Alert: 46-Year-Old Loxahatchee Woman Missing

FDLE has issued a Purple Alert for PBSO which says 46-year-old Tamara Garrett is missing and possibly endangered.

LOXAHATCHEE, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — FDLE has issued a Purple Alert for PBSO which says 46-year-old Tamara Garrett is missing and possibly endangered.

According to FDLE and PBSO, Tamara Garrett was last seen near 17000th block of 38th Road N in Loxahatchee.

Tamara was last seen wearing a yellow sweater and blue jeans. Tamara is said to have a scar over her left eyebrow. Tamara may be carrying a magenta-colored handbag.

Authorities say that Tamara may be in the custody of 18-year-old Samuel Garrett who was last seen wearing a black jacket and beige cargo shorts.

In custody of? Did they mean to type Tamara may be in the company of Samuel? "in custody of" and "possibly endangered" make me wonder if this might turn out to be a kidnapping.

The Purple Alert indicates that there is a mental health issue (other than dementia.) I'm wondering if it is possible that the 18yo (her son?) might be her caretaker.

I hadn't thought of that. If so, poor guy. He's young to have those responsibilities. IMO
