COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (FOX 13) - A Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 4-year-old boy who was last seen in Broward County.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Tanner Swears was last seen in the 5300 block of NW 55 Blvd in Coconut Creek.

Tanner Swears is 3 feet, 5 inches tall and 39 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Stephen Swears, 55, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 190 pounds with silver hair and brown eyes.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said the pair could be traveling in a 2013 silver convertible Ford Mustang with Florida plate AIQZ45.

The boy was last seen in the 5300 block of NW 55th Boulevard in Coconut Creek wearing a diaper. Tanner has curly black hair, brown eyes, weighs 39 pounds, and is 3 feet, 4 inches tall.

He may be with Stephen Swears, 55, also of Coconut Creek. Swears has short, silver hair, weighs 190 pounds and is 5 feet, 11 inches tall.

The pair may be traveling in a silver convertible 2013 Ford Mustang with Florida tag number AIQZ45.

FDLE stresses that anyone who locates Swears should not approach him, but instead immediately contact law enforcement.

Maybe. Maybe a pull-up, which isn't so unusual at night for many kids, especially boys, as I understand.

My mind's eye wants to see him being dropped off at a Cracker Barrel or Perkins full of friendly ladies who will call the police and give him all the pancakes he wants. I really hope this ends peacefully.

This is an odd case with the taken at gunpoint element. There isn't a divorce case on-going. No custody case on-going. No criminal history for Stephen (at least in Broward County, Palm Beach County, and Miami-Dade). Two prior divorces 1989 in Miami-Dade and 2003 in Broward.
