I haven't. I have been trying to track down mom's social media. I think I know who she is.

We would have heard about it if Mom was shot in the abduction, right? Just wondering about the "may be with" language (probably standard) but also why it's not an Amber Alert (like no witness to affirm Stephen has him?).

Shows he has a grown son whom is a firefighter.
Old Army pic throw back of Stephen with his own father posted in May of this year.
This could of been a custody battle with mom between them, with no court action of custody laws to stand legal ground.
However the fire arm is setting every one on edge. If mom and dad where not married, no court order in place for Tanner this would have mom with all the rights.
But the fire arm and taking Tanner at gun point if true.
Puts all LE in high alert especially report of armed.
Very dangerous for LE, Tanner and Stephen.

I don't quite get why this isn't an Amber Alert. All the boxes are seemingly checked for one. The only things that come to mind is that there is no divorce/custody situation and this isn't an abduction under the law or there is something not quite right with mom's story.

It was in a criminal conviction profile. ID of a army Tat. Yet I have not found photo of Stephen with tat exposed.

I don't quite get why this isn't an Amber Alert. All the boxes are seemingly checked for one. The only things that come to mind is that there is no divorce/custody situation and this isn't an abduction under the law or there is something not quite right with mom's story.

I'm wondering about the custody arrangement too. Perhaps dad was promised time with Tanner this weekend and mom said "no" at the last minute? That could have lead to an argument and Stephen taking the child regardless of mom's wishes (did anyone else see the gun?). If he has a legal right to see his child, then it might be a judgement call for LE on issuing the Amber Alert. But I'm concerned about the previous felony record and the pulling a gun story. They are telling people not to approach them if they are seen but to call LE. That indicates to me that this is not a safe situation for Tanner nor for the general public. Better to issue an Amber Alert before this goes on for too long. They could be far away from Florida by now. MOO.

I too get this hinky feeling off of social media. Yet LE are taking the @gun point very serious. Chatter of witnesses other than mom are crickets.
Mom not going public and no PC scheduled. So do we think Tanner is well loved by each and Tanner is caught in the cross fire of a battle. Still this was very non wise of Stephen.
Tanner deserves the best safety and love.

Agree no proof he is or isn't armed. I would lean fifty fifty but approach as LE @ 1000. I would hope CCTV is being veiwed ASAP. Florida is like the big brother when it comes to CCTV. Come on FL, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. I have a gut feeling he had this planned in advance. MOO ESPECIALLY IF HE LEFT HER HOUSE ALREADY AND CAME BACK.

Tanner Swears was reunited with his family by a family friend, early Sunday afternoon, according to Coconut Creek Police.

Police are still searching for the child’s father, 55-year-old Stephen Swears.
