I worked with her. They found her body Monday. It was very badly mutilated. She was the one person in the world you wouldn't expect to work ina strip club and no one looked for Ger because she did.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is holding an 11 a.m. press briefing to release details in a murder investigation and a missing person case.

I just visited Tara's FB page...what a beautiful and lovely person. Seemed so full of life and joy. Heartbroken for her loss.

Jacksonville police said Hawkins, 33, was found by a dog walker Sunday near the woods of the low-budget Emerson Inn off Philips Highway. It took several days to identify the badly decomposed body.

Wow....that was a nice article. It offered more insight into Tara's whole life. She sounds like someone I would love to be around. I know her loved ones will miss her so much.

Does anyone else think that it may be more than a coincidence that there are so many missing on that corridor?

I lived in Jax for a number of years--the area she was found has a high transient population, lots of motels with rooms by the week, people trying to dig themselves out of a hole, trying to save money to get out of town or just stuck in a bad period of life.
