When you obtain a safe deposit box, you provide your social security number. It takes 2 keys to open the box; you hold one and the bank hold the other. Every time you open the box, you sign a signature card with date and time. The bank employee consigns, too. You can have another person(s) on the signature card who can have access to the box. If the box owner loses the key, the lock has to be rekeyed at the owner's expense. Most banks have a couple of sizes to rent. The boxes are large enough to hold documents.

i have a question.
I have never had a safe deposit box so
if i wanted to deposit money in one does the bank confirm what goes into tis box?

I have a son who is 11, and his father and I divorced two years ago. He does not ask about his father, and his father hasn't called him in four months. There was a time that he talk to him almost daily, but the lack of correspondence does not bother him most of the time. I think at a younger age, it would be even less bothersome to him.

I know this is her mom missing, but kids are resilient. As long as they have a loving adult figure in their life, that is what would matter to them. Security and stability.

i think it all depends on the relationship and if they were close.
and it really has nothing to do with finding her.

It has now been 21 days since she was last heard from. I think there is something seriously amiss here. She has legal counsel. She would not have just run off in a panic trying to escape her "fate." (In my opinion only, of course!)

Exactly.I wish we could hear more from LE.They at first said they didn't suspect foul play so I'm very worried they aren't trying hard to find her if they think she just ran off.21 days and no sightings at all make me scared she is no longer alive.

I think what someone said earlier is a real possibility: that she took out the money from the sd box in anticipation of the upcoming court date and with the intention to deposit it as and where ordered by the court, but was prevented to do so by someone who knew she had this large amount of cash on her. Eileen above asked "Who knew about the money?" I think this is a very important question! Abu, maybe you want to contact the investigating detective and ask them if they have looked into this. The money, and the love triangle, are the only motives I can see for harming her.

I'm trying to follow the money. Is the large amount of cash/cashier's checks from "undetermined income" or sale of joint real estate?

I agree. I think it is already too late for her. However, I think LE is on top of this.

It seems like everything has slowed down on this "investigation" including public posts from TW's loved ones.. which leads me to believe that they know where she is wether it's good or bad news!

I don't think they have any idea where she is but they might have a better idea as tot he why....
I think they have been fitting the pieces together.

I agree with this. I've seen children of crack heads and abused children yearn for their mothers. No matter how bad they were treated.

It all depends on how the present/custodial parent parents. Seems like Abu is doing the right thing by not letting this affect his son and for his son's sake he's probably chalking it up to be one of her many disappearance. And considering from what the VI has already stated his son is very used to her disappearances, as in being very consistently in and out of her son's life! At 7 years old he wouldn't be asking about his mom unless the adults around him we're constantly talking about her in front of him! Of course I'm sure he does wonder about her.. but I don't think trying to figure out about why his son isn't yearning to talk to his mom will solve her being missing! And also alot of questions that are being asked for Abu, he has already answered 98% of these questions so instead of asking him, read back into the thread and you'll find your answer!
Well actually we're only getting one side of the story, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. It's not the gospel.

Has this slow down started suddenly today? If so they might have gotten some kind of news today.

The bank does not know what you put in a safe deposit box; however, it is illegal to put cash in a safe deposit box (unless it is something like a coin collection). It is illegal to take US currency out of circulation. (You can look up rules about what you can/cannot put in a sd box.) This doesn't stop people from doing it though. Just means if you get caught doing it, it's a crime.

Do you have a link for this info?

I think we all need to remember that perhaps the family members of Taylor may not be able to comment on things if the PPD asked them not too. If I was in this situation I probably would be quiet as well. Quiet does not equal guilty. JMO

You can google it. I read it in the rules when I rented a safe deposit box.
I did google it. One link said it is not technically illegal, but that the bank may have rules against it. If you put a wad of cash in a SDB and let's say there was a fire or a robbery, even if you had insurance, they might not have to cover it because you broke the rules. Plus tax evasion is obviously illegal. However, it stated it is not an actual crime to put cash in a SDB.

Then another link said it was illegal. So I still don't know, lol.

Jmo but court records seem to support what the ex has said.
