I'm new to WS, but have been following this story. My questions:

-How much money was TW supposed to pay her ex? I thought I recalled the amount being $25-30k from a previous post. Could she have taken the money out to meet and pay her ex? If I was LE, I would be looking closely at his whereabouts during this time.

-The farm friend is even more suspicious. None of his/her story adds up, but so many pieces of it would be verifiable (or not) by LE.

Either way, I do not think TW is away at this time because of her own accord.

Also, did anyone see the recent discovery of a body in Pensacola Bay? No determination of gender yet.

If Taylor was with this friend all day, why didn't she just tell her she needed to get away? Why wait till later and text that info? I'm trying to catch up here, so sorry if that was already questioned.

Also, as far as there being another girlfriend involved, I'm almost certain that Abu later cleared that up and said it was just a friend not a girlfriend.

Right. This is what doesn't track for me. Her GF was trying to reach her for most of the day and there were no replies--neither calls nor text until that strange text at 7:58 PM? We have no indications that Taylor and GF had a rocky relationship. I think if there were any rumblings of that Abu would have told us because he told us in great detail about Taylor's fights with her previous GF--the one he says Taylor had an affair with when they were married. Instead, Abu had a lot of praise for fleurde as a person.

Yes, Abu clarified that he was mistaken about the friend being another GF. Friend is married with kids and was not a romantic relationship.
Here is the post where he clarified that: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...la-7-Sept-2017/page34&p=13658909#post13658909

Welcome kingmd327! :welcome:

AbuDrake said in one post that Taylor owed him abt $30,000. He said in another post that about $25,000 out of the $100,000 was owed to him. He also told us she owed about $4200 in back child support. I am only guessing that the $25,000 plus $4200 is where he came up with the abt. $30,000 figure.

Keep in mind that AbuDrake lives in NC and Taylor lives in FL. While it's certainly not impossible he was meeting with Taylor I think it would hard for him to do that without being tracked. Also it would be easier for Taylor to convert the money into a check or money order and send it certified mail OR deposit it in a bank and do an electronic transfer. Since they were in the process of a court battle and all I think she would want evidence for the court that she paid him, rather than just handing over the cash.

Farm friend is fishy but could be telling the truth. It's quite a story if they are and I wish farm friend would go to the media and plead for Taylor to come home. IDK.

Thanks for the link to the "body found" story. I have been keeping an eye out but had not seen that one today.

Possible that TW did get an Uber, LE found and talked to the Uber driver, Uber driver told LE where they drove TW to (airport?), thus the "she left of her own free will"

This is always possible but I don't see why LE wouldn't tell anyone that. I have seen other "voluntary missing" cases where LE said they had evidence the person left on their own and may be in a certain city. LE wants to find her even if it's voluntary so they can close the case and stop using resources. The public would be a good tool for finding her if they really believe she is voluntarily missing. JMO.

but if that were true, her loved ones have not heard from her since, making her "missing" now, no? They'd say that an uber dropped her at the airport and there has been no sign of her since, no contact from her since, etc.

Has Taylor's name been run through flight manifests from local airports? I would think so but...

Once it is reported, if anyone is expressing reasonable belief they did not leave of their own accord, I would think that LE would like to find her, determine if she is of sound mind and health and that she is acting of her own free will. They need not disclose where she is or how to contact her. However, they would likely inform family of the fact she is safe and sound and does not want to be found.

Yes. Exactly. If TW is missing on her own she can also stop the search herself at anytime by contacting police. As former LE she would know that, IMO.

Part of what concerns me. She should know this and put an end to it all rather than have all this play out in terms of what this is doing to fleurde, mom, and a small handful of others.

I know I said this earlier but I am willing to pursue an opportunity to get a lead on Taylor if she did take off. I am willing to do that as long as that remains a possibility. I know I am not going to give up on her.

At the same time, my very first impression based on how long it took for her report of her missing to make it to the media or SM (about 6 days) was she was not alive. It seems it was the PI to make the first SM post and the PI that was the source for the first story that we get at the initial post of Taylor's threads. There is seemingly nothing public across anyone saying something like "Has anyone heard from Taylor?" No indication of any friends posting the Missing Poster. Nothing. Crickets. Either everyone knows or nobody cares. I have not seen where a "professional" has recommended not trying to get a Missing Person's face and name out there as far and wide as possible and not try to get media attention not only locally, but regionally or even nationally. Or organize searches, etc.

My limited experience here at WS tells me that there is always a reason (and not good) that you have a missing person and you have no one but parents or significant others (even exes) that are the only ones with anything to say. There is an elephant in the room of some sort. Whether that has to do with the victim or shady characters around the victim I don't know.

As it is I know I have to keep all options on the table. I much prefer to pursue finding her alive because quite frankly I am tired of cases I am working on that turn into body hunts (I still have 5 of those active, it was 6 but Emily Anderson was found Sunday).

Actually stats say the majority of people reported missing do disappear on their own. But of course LE can't know that until they are found. Jmo

So I wonder if the bar is in walking distance of the friend's house. If so, then it would make more sense that Taylor left and walked to the bar thinking she would get the uber when she was ready to leave. If that is the case, then there are many things that could go wrong when a pretty woman is alone in a bar with cash. :(

It is a shame that fleurde has decided to not participate. I did want to follow up on the topic of whether or not Taylor would be armed. In particular I would want to know if Taylor had been keeping firearms at fleurde's home and if those firearms are present and accounted for.

I wonder what the status is of that body in the Bay they recovered. It's not far from TW's residence -- about 4.6 mi.

I'm certain fleurde is still following along with the thread. Maybe she will rejoin the discussion at some point. I just think it takes a toll on a loved one to spend too much time discussing the same things over and over when they are already so stressed.

I keep finding myself wondering why GF had TWs friends phone number to begin with, if she didn't really know her.
Maybe I'm weird, but I don't have any of my husbands friends #s, unless I know them well enough that I call them my friend too, you know? Every time I read up on this thread that bit jumps out at me.
and if you saw on your phone that taylors gf was trying to get in touch with her, wouldn't you say"yo Taylor call your gf"?

There is another report about it that identifies the body was found at the 17th Avenue boat launch. That is at the southern end of what is called Bayou Terre where it meets Pensacola Bay. The body recovered must be in pretty good condition if they are saying there doesn't appear to be foul play.

The location of the 17th Avenue boat launch can be seen at this Google Map link.
