Yeah, she was innocent don't ya know? How are they going to enforce her probation (that she have no contact with him) when they are going to be parents to a baby? Now that she is in Jail, I'm hoping that the authorities place the baby in a foster home, until there is an investigation to determine if there are any family members capable of caring for him/her.

I'm seriously torn over this case. This probably won't come out right, but what good is it going to do to give his kid a criminal record over this? I don't think they should get married either (why make two mistakes instead of one), but he's going to have to support the baby and having a criminal record certainly isn't going to help him get an education or a job at some point. Can't they intervene with some counselling, some community service and some classes on how to raise a child? I'm all for prosecuting the woman, but seriously what good will criminal charges do for this kid?

Jeana, I don't think he is being charged with anything having to do with this woman, is he? From a link above:

He fled the group home where he was sent for a probation violation.

I don't think he would get probation for having sex with her or for marrying her, would he? He must have already been in trouble for something else, imo. She is the one facing charges, I believe.

Juvenile Court Judge Mary Carden declared the youth delinquent after he admitted violating the conditions of his probation, which stemmed from a burglary this year

Teen groom's grandmother says she can't raise child
37-year-old bride expected to give birth in jail soon

The grandmother of the 15-year-old Hall County boy whose newlywed wife, 37, is about to deliver a baby says she will not raise the infant.

"I'm too old to take a newborn," Judy Hayles, 61, who lives near Gainesville, said Friday. "I work every day."

Instead, said Hayles, she'd prefer that a "good family" adopt the child, due Feb. 20.

Hold on! The grandmother gets to put the baby up for adoption?

This just gets worse and worse.

Since the boy is a minor under her stewardship and the mother is awaiting trial in jail and will not be getting bail again, the baby will end up either as the grandmother's legal ward or the state's responsibility. A lot of babies born in prison go into the foster system if there is no blood relative willing to take them or is able to provide for them.

I wonder if she has any family willing to raise the baby? She hasn't given up parental rights, has she?

Lisa Clark Gives Birth To Teenaged Husband's Baby

ATLANTA -- A woman accused of child molestation after she married a 15-year-old boy has reportedly given birth to their child.

A friend, Amy Engler, tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that 37-year-old Lisa Clark gave birth to a boy Saturday night at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Engler says that Clark, who has been in custody at the Hall County Detention Center, went into labor Saturday afternoon and was taken to the hospital.

Skye Cobain Gonzales, a "healthy baby boy with sandy blonde hair," was born shortly afterward.

Engler, who lives in Douglasville, is friends with Clark because her niece dates Clark's older son.

That romance was over quickly.

That's the trouble with marrying a 15 year old.

Amra,

Maybe they did...saying she wants to reunite with him sounds like they are not together.
