I'm going to guess, if she was truly pregnant, and she had been drinking, that would instigate an argument. If she left angry, and possibly a little tipsy, or even flat out drunk, then erratic driving would be expected. That car could be in a retention pond, a canal or lake nearby. Drones would be helpful as would Google Earth for that matter.

I'm curious to know why they suspect foul play - based on the wallet found in a library? Maybe but it could have washed up from a body of water, laid on an embankment and been picked up by a kid. The rainy season combined with flooding dredges up weird stuff all the time.

People did not worry about pregnancy and drinking in 1966. There may have been an argument, but that wouldn't have been the cause.

I would like to know where the apartment was. I've read two different addresses: 2713 SW 13th Court and Davie Boulevard.

A friend told Travisano in 1975 that Fittin suspected she was pregnant shortly before she disappeared. Her boyfriend at the time was the first to report her missing, Travisano said.

Police first told Travisano there was nothing to investigate. At 18, Fittin was legally of legal age. If she disappeared, it was probably because she wanted to, detectives told Travisano.

"I was a 37-year-old waitress, with no husband or boyfriend," she said. "They didn't take me too seriously. That's the way it was. In 1975 you didn't argue with the police."

I read this part on the website and found it really annoying. I imagine the result could have been different if they had taken this seriously from the beginning... that's the police and it will always be that way.

After seeing so many articles about missing persons and their vehicles being pulled from various canals in Broward County and south florida… it makes you wonder if Teresa got into an accident and crashed into a waterway.

This video on her disappearance goes over several newspaper articles. Some describe the incident with the psychic.

If she was in an accident, the addresses of places she might have gone, and the time of day would be important. Some things of note in the articles shared there:
> The address of her apartment is given as 2713 SW 13 Ct. This is directly next to the Riverland Branch Library. She could have walked there.
> The mother's address is given in the article as 1009 SW Fourth St.
> In one article, the time that she left is stated to be 1 p.m.
> In one article, a neighbor reported seeing her pull out of her driveway in her car.
> Her mother describes in another article how Teresa would go straight from the bank to Burdines' fashion department.
> She was a student at Stranahan High School, but one article describes it as a summer job, I assume she was on summer break.

Again the date in all of these older articles seems to be August 2nd, did it get mixed up over time?

I feel like it's important that her wallet was at the library when it's right next to her apartment, but she was seen driving away, why drive there? And if she was upset when she left and did go there directly afterwards, you would think someone would have remembered seeing her there?
If she left at 1 p.m. it also seems less likely for an accident to be unnoticed but not impossible.

FLreporter: Do you know -- and can you tell us -- the name of Theresa's boyfriend who reported her missing?

I found him named in a YouTube video as Terry Nation. A google search finds one who could likely be him, current Age 74 living in Tamarac FL just north west of Ft Lauderdale. Previous addresses shown in Ft Lauderdale. This Terry would be approx 5 years older than Teresa. Given the 5 year age difference, is it possible that she met him at her part time job as a waitress at the Ft Lauderdale Beach Hilton?

"Travisano said she got a much different response from Fort Lauderdale police after Fittin's boyfriend reported her missing on Aug. 1, 1975. He also told police Fittin was six months pregnant.

Ten days later, someone at the Riverland Branch Library on Davie Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale called Travisano to say they found Fittin's wallet in the building. Inside the plastic sheets meant to hold credit cards, Fittin kept photos of her friends and her driver's license, her only ID, Travisano said. She reported the find to police, but it did not lead to new developments.

Fittin and her boyfriend argued before she went missing, police said. She left her Davie Boulevard apartment in her greenish-gray, four-door, 1964 Nash Rambler, license plate number 10-16425. Detectives found $300 on a dresser in her apartment, along with the rest of her belongings."

Ok - this is what gets me here - they argued before she disappeared, but yet he was the one that reported her missing? Ordinarily I would say that the boyfriend looks like he knows something here, but with him being the one who reported her missing, I wonder....

Why wouldn't her mother be the one to report her missing, anyhow?

The police report data I see on Doe Network states 6 weeks pregnant. I would speculate that is is why her mother did not know. She wasn’t showing! IMO, those saying 6 months are incorrect.
