He was last seen on Wednesday, March 28, at about 10:30 p.m. wearing a teal polo-type shirt, black pants and black shoes. He was last seen driving a 4-door 2013 beige Kia sedan with FL tag 697YGY.

Neptune Beach police said they believe the remains to be those of Timothy Hapsis, 28, but are awaiting positive identification from the Medical Examiner's Office.

Action News Jax’s Courtney Cole spoke to Ryan Carter, a friend of Hapsis, who told her his body was found in the passenger seat of a car.

He told Courtney he could hardly take it when he saw the lifeless body of the man he’s called a friend for almost his entire life being removed from the car.

Carter told Action News Jax he believes someone knows something about the death.
