FL FL - Trenton Duckett, 2, Leesburg, 27 Aug 2006

I do not know where to post this on Websleuths but I only post on this forum. A dear friend who has been with the Trenton Duckett case since the beginning has lost her battle with cancer in February - Just Curious was her main posting name.

Another dear friend also lost her battle with cancer last year I believe you will remember her from Sticks of Fire, uSleuths and Websleuths. She used the name theDoe and was a beautiful person.

Just saw Trenton's case on Vanished, and am trying to catch up. Can you post a link to the flaws in the programme?

Wow! I am so impressed that some still are working this case. I have never forgotten Trenton.

I have a couple articles about Vanished on my website. A direct link is http://duckettbucket.blogspot.com/2011/06/vanished-episode-5-trenton-duckett.html. Then I have snapshots of the episode since the link to the actual video is no longer available. http://duckettbucket.blogspot.com/2011/07/vanished-portrait-of-dorian-gray.html

Thank you so very much! The Vanished episode is on YouTube and I just saw it this week. Not sure if we are allowed to post links though. Before I googled the case, I sure thought it was odd how Josh kept smiling the whole way through....

Thank you for all your hard work in this case. I too doubt Melinda died by suicide, but Nancy Disgrace sure made her life hell beforehand. That woman is a piece of work.

Do you think Trenton is still alive?

Off to read your links now.

LEESBURG, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - It's been eight years since 2-year old Trenton Duckett disappeared.

[...]

Major Steven Rockefeller says he now has a new detective assigned to the case.

[...]

Within the last year investigators released a new age progression picture of Trenton and what he could look like at age 10.
That picture has brought in some tips. "The leads have been things like potential sightings from Montana and Connecticut, Chicago, different places. The agencies have worked with us till logical conclusion," said Major Rockefeller.

While none of the children have turned out to be Trenton, investigators are encouraged and so is Trenton's dad.

I can't believe it's been 8years. :(

I know Kaliste, I had the exact same thought :(

This case is one that I've thought of often. I pray the leads will keep coming in, and that Trenton will be able to hug his Dad someday soon.

:please:

I think about Haleigh and Trenton almost every day and hope and pray they are found. I'm not even a family member and I'm so haunted by these (and other cases). They are so close to home. Glad for the new images and to know they are not forgotten.

Started reading the thread and still at the beginning but I remember (please someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the last place that Trenton was seen was at a fast food drive-through window (?Wendy's) with his mom and she bought him food. So hoping that this means he is alive somewhere. I believe she was trying to keep him from his dad just to be vindictive. I can't help but wonder why someone who was planning on murder would feed the victim. I want to believe she fed him because she loved him and cared for him and was handing him off to someone. Just hoping. If she was planning on murder suicide, why not have both bodies together?

"9 years later, missing Trenton Duckett case still open"

http://www.mynews13.com/content/news/cfnews13/news/article.html/content/news/articles/cfn/2015/9/14/fl_missing_children_day_trenton_duckett.html

"He was just a bundle of joy. He was a lot of fun to be around," said Trenton's father, Josh Duckett. "It's hard for me to look at the pictures and see him as an 11-year-old."

"We're basically at a dead standstill," Josh Duckett said. "We're nine years into it, and we're no closer to getting any kind of answers than we were back in 2006."

Today, Josh Duckett continues to host candlelight vigils for Trenton and raise awareness for other missing children.

"There are hundreds and hundreds of them," he said. "If we bring one child home, it's a success."
