This case was so sad! I think about Trenton a lot. Especially at night when I pray, I wish this boy could be found and brought home to his loving family (either way). Does anybody know what Josh has been up to? Does he have a g/f or wife and I hope he can have a family one day and not feel guilty like he is replacing Trenton.

Josh has a current girlfriend who has a baby (from previous relationship). He also has a son that was born November 18, 2007. He impregnated this girl when Trenton was missing 6 months.

However, the young mother has had to bring him to court in Sumter County to enforce child support. I could provide a link to the Sumter County records, but I don't want to reveal the name of the girl as that would be unnecessary.

The same animosity shown toward Melinda has been repeated toward this young mother.

She has met Melinda's grandparents many times, had lunch together, held the baby, etc. She shared many of her unpleasant experiences, including living with Carla and Josh and her fear of losing custody of her son. That's why she sought out the grandparents.

She was instructed to "stay in the background" because they didn't want the public to learn of Josh's new son which might affect the donations.

The grandparents believe, as I believe, it's always been about the money. Josh never wanted to pay child support. The email was sent the day the contempt of child support was subserved on his mother Carla. Melinda filed for child support on April 18, 2005 which was followed by Josh filing for custody and child support on April 28, 2005. It wasn't until December 2005 that Melinda filed again for child support which went into effect February 2006.

He never made the July and August payment after he caught up for his July 12 2006 hearing.

I heard the same thing, though my source indicated that they implied that if she didn't watch it she just might end up dead, like Melinda. I strongly urged my source to advise her to retain a lawyer and file a restraining order. Needless to say, I find such behavior beyond appalling and moving into the realm of frightening.

I hope she is rotting in hell :furious: since he was never found I was hoping he was still alive

I, for one, do not "hope she is rotting in hell" -- for the simple fact that there is NO PROOF or solid evidence that she killed Trenton. I reserve my "hope he/she is rotting in hell" for those cases that there is actual proof that someone purposely killed an innocent child.

Sure, she killed herself, but for all I know, she was a casualty of not being mature enough to handle the intense pressure being put on her in addition to not knowing where her little boy was. I cannot imagine not knowing where my child is, and then, God forbid, to be castigated on a daily basis on national TV without any solid proof but predominately media-inspired innuendo. She was a young mother with mounting trials and tribulations.....however, we just don't know if she did what many accused (and still do) her of doing.

Although I can respect your opinion, I think it's a very intense statement to make in this particular case. There are so many unanswered questions in this case, and as such, I think that hoping she "rots in hell" is quite a leap and not something I would wish on someone that we don't KNOW is guilty. It's just not right, in a literal sense and a very karmic sense as well. My opinion only.

After studying the side by side, in my opinion, I am sorry to say that I don't think this is Trenton. The nose and mouth shape are not the same and I think Trenton is finer featured. God bless Trenton!

Up to your quote, no one has mentioned what is the most telling to me - This kids eyes are much closer together and the eyebrows are differently spaced and shaped than Trenton's. I originally voted that I didn't think so but that there were some resemblances. After seeing the side-by-side I think absolutely no. The ear shape is totally different. Look at the difference in lobe shape and size and how Trenton's ear slopes back differently. Trenton's head is much more heart shaped than this child as well. Trenton is dead, IMO. The biggest resemblance is that this is an Amerasian kid, like Trenton.

I wish I could say yes, but no-Trenton's lips don't have the heart shape as the other little fellow, his nose is not as wide, and his eyes have a different shape. Their hair looks the same though, and the hair looks like it's at the same growth stage as Trenton's which makes me think that Trenton's hair, today, would look different.

That was one of my first thoughts also, nomad. At first, the eyes particularly, I thought YES, then after looking at the hair, I too thought that it should be much different than it is in that picture. Too bad, though, because they sure do look alike.

They most likely look alike when Trenon was younger, but the boy in the photo is just over two years old, whereas Trenton would be 4 1/2 now.

Nose, mouth, chin and visible ear are not the same. Trenton would be a lot older now and have more hair.

My take and jmo, there is one feature that raises doubt wrt this child being Trenton, and that is the ear lobes (i.e., Trenton appears to have "attached" ear lobes, whereas this child does not). Even so, I think it is worthwhile to rule this latest tip in/out.

I totally agree...it was the first thing I noticed. However, I think it should be noted that lobal surgery is an incredibly simple minor surgery and could have been done. It's starting to become more common since alot of people don't view attached ear lobes as beautifying, especially females that would like to pierce their ears - they feel it would attract more attention to their lobes so they opt for the outpatient surgery that's literally done & stitched (with 1 or 2 stitches, sometimes NO stitches) in about the same time as Lasik surgery! Sadly, I wish it was but I honestly don't think it's Trenton. I'm still hoping and praying he's overseas & alive with loving & doting parents.

I had lived in the Orlando area for 21 years, and only moved last year. So, I was there during Trenton Duckett's disappearance. The picture of the child in that magazine looks so much like him - and I am a skeptic for "sightings". I hope someone is checking that out thoroughly. Miracles do happen - maybe Trenton will be another one.

Can someone do a side by side comparison with Trenton's age progression photo and the new photo released today?

http://www.wftv.com/news/17538070/detail.html (age progression photo)

TIA!

The picture on the left is the picture from the motorcycle mag and the one on the top right is the age progression photo and the one on the bottom right is from the Team Trenton page...Hope this kinda helps! I think there is a resemblance especially the forehead, hairline and the nose.

There is a whole thread about Trenton's resemblance to this other boy here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81687&page=4&highlight=trenton+duckett

Officials looked into it and discovered that the boy is NOT Trenton: http://www.wesh.com/video/19005298/index.html The boy is just over 2 years old, and Trenton would be 4 1/2 now.

Still, it's great that someone thought of the resemblance and reported it. It would have been awful for the boy to really have been Trenton without anyone saying anything. Hopefully he is still out there somewhere waiting to be spotted. People just need to be aware that they should be looking for a young child now, not a toddler.

Vigil held for Trenton Duckett
May 17, 2009

Nearly three years since he's seen his son, but Josh Duckett says he is still staying positive. Duckett says there is nothing in life that prepares a parent for the disappearance of their child, but he says helping others in the same situation has helped him and others.

Duckett and his family was the special guests at the Vigil for Hope in Leesburg Sunday night. The vigil is an event aimed at keeping missing children and adults in the public eye.
