Thanks for the tweets, scmom! I️ just found this thread today and watching live (when work allows).

I️ am following this one with absolutely no pre-conceived ideas about the guilt of the defendant. I’m not sure if I’ve ever followed a live trial that I’ve not already had an interest in. It will be interesting to see if I️ come up with the same decision as the jury.

Either way, how tragic to lose an entire family like this. And double tragic for Tristen.

Who is raising Tristan now, if you know?

I haven't really followed this case from the beginning myself. Just an article or two. I don't know who is raising the little boy either but I hope he has a loving home.

I'm following too! Thanks very much for posting the tweets, scmom. I'm not really familiar with the case so have lots of catching up to do. Only found out about this trial when posting tweets for the Jeffrey Wilis trial...there appeared to be alot of tweets coming through re Adam Mato. Luis Torledo too, saw lots of tweets coming through and sort of followed. So many trials, I want to follow them all, post tweets for all, but it's not possible--I think I will stick with one, Adam Matos it is. What's with the Defence not having an opening statement? :thud: Is that common? I've only followed a handful of trials and have never come across a Defence who has not prepared an opening statement, or waived their opening statement, so just wondering how common it is (?). Unfortunately I have a busy week coming up but if time permits, I will help out with the tweeting in this thread. Tweets may be delayed by 4-5 hrs *I think I'm 17hrs ahead meaning 9am there is 2am following day my time*. If folks don't mind that, I will definitely help post the tweets and keep the thread updated with the goings on in the courtroom.

I think I read that family up north took the child. I have read quite a bit on this...they seem to have a lot of evidence pointing his way.
