Asthma? Wasn't he having people buy him cigarettes & he testified he was chain smoking?

I️ know right. And he had been hospitalized at least ten times she said- said asthma was from birth.

You don’t really grow out of asthma (I’m a nurse) and my child has been hospitalized only twice- both times it was very serious. And my child really has reactive airway disease and not asthma- though similar. Not to get off topic, but her “asthma” is brought on by other factors ie pneumonia, allergies, etc

Asthma can get better over time- but if he had asthma he still has it and smoking would be horrible for him. Maybe his mom just calls it asthma- hard to say. I’ve seen people with asthma smoke- so dumb.

Yes - it was hard to watch for me. She was up there just trying so hard to say all the right things. It was genuine, but she didn’t understand why they were asking what they asked. At least I️ didn’t think so.

Maxine jones called by defense.

Better known as Big Mommy to her godsons Peter and Adam.

Retired police officer- Philadelphia. Husband drove charter buses and had a regular route to Atlantic City. While doing that he met Rose Matos and her father. That’s how they become friends.

Boys would spend the night with her. She became their god mother when they are five and three. She says “hi Adam”
And her voice cracks while on the stand.

When Adam spoke he would cough. Would spend time in the hospital for asthma.

Adam and his family would spend Christmas with her and her family. Defense shows photos of them all together.

Camera on some people looking at photos. Maybe it’s the jury. I️ think so. They are waiting for them to be done.

Rose and they boys moved away around 1992-1993 to New Jersey. Rose would come back and visit at times.

Describes him as very loving. No problem with them. Loved him immediately when meeting them.

In 2003 peter graduated high school. Her and her husband went to the graduation. Adam went to the prom the same year. Defense showing her photos of peters graduation. Also a photo of Adam at the prom that same year. Smiles as she looks at Adam. Calls him “sharp and dapper”

2006 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She called Adam from the hospital. Adam and his mom came the next day and stayed with her.

After Tristan’s birth she had contact with Adam- thinks she met Tristan twice. She thinks around 2013. Peter was living with her with his family. Describes Adam as a loving father. Very affectionate father.

Witness asks to Interject when being questioned about the type of father he was and says it surprised her that he was such a good father- he could have kicked Tristan to the curb and ran after the ladies out here. Thinks the ladies would have wanted him. I️ didn’t get the exact words- I️ was too shocked to type it.

Camera on Adam. His female lawyer looks emotional (as I️ am listening to this) and he shows nothing- as usual.

Pointing out she was a positive role model.

Witness pointing out that she last saw him March 2013 and never spoke to him again after that. Says he could have called, but he didn’t.

She says she heard the testimony. Making sure to say that he said Tristan was in the home sleeping. Doesn’t affect her opinion as a father. Feels he did whatever he needed to do to protect his child. Feels he articulated what he did and why.

She’s done. She loves him. That is obvious.

She looks just like Rose. From Philadelphia. She is Adams aunt.

She has a daughter Chrystal. Adam and Chrystal were close. Adam was always respectful.

She went to rehab for substance abuse. Her sister and her children supported her. She’s crying about the support they gave her. The love they gave her “no matter what I️ did”.

There was a time that Adam didn’t like his step dad and he wanted to live with her. He ran away for one night and ended up at her apartment.

Talking about how he was bullied a lot. They had to straighten it out a lot. He was bullied because he was light skinned.

She loves Adam unconditionally. Will stand by him. No emotion from Adam.

I️ don’t think he will get death. I️ think his family comes across as genuinely loving him and standing by him.

Next witness- Adrianna. Browns were like her second family. Witness crying and having a hard time talking. Met the Browns when she was 13- she is 21 now.

Hard to follow. Megan lived with her. Adrianna was home alone a lot after school. Adam was with her a lot. Never saw Adam lose his temper with Adam. He was calm. Never aggressive. Saw him with Tristan because he lived with her for a year.

Aw man I️ have so much sympathy for this girl. She is a mess up there.

Jury must decide unanimously agree that #AdamMatos murders were "esp. heinous, atrocious & cruel, is sufficient to warrant a death sentence. Defense's "mitigating circumstances" aren't limited to case, can include character, background, etc.

Close friend of the Browns on stand. Crying. Met AM through them. Spent a lot of time with AM. Said he & Megan had an off & on relationship. Said she never saw him get aggressive with anyone...good dad thing again...sorry, but he murdered his child's family he loved with Tristan in the house & made him stay in there with those dead bodies!!

This poor girl is so upset...
