The University of South Florida Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office are seeking the public's help in finding Zamil Limon, left, and Nahida S. Bristy after they were reported missing on Friday

Zamil Limon, 27, is a doctoral student studying geography and environmental science policy. Nahida Bristy, also 27, is a doctoral student studying chemical engineering.

Both students were last seen the morning of Thursday, April 16, USFPD said.

Limon was last seen at around 9 a.m. at his residence at 13612 Avalon Heights Boulevard in Tampa. Bristy was last seen at 10 a.m. at the Natural and Environmental Sciences Building located on USF Sweetgum Lane on the Tampa campus.

A family friend reported Limon and Bristy missing just before 5 p.m. the following day, after being unable to reach either of them.

Univerified but Nahidas sister has a little bit more information (nothing major) on Facebook. Her middle name is Sultana She's from Bangladesh.

His name is mispelled on the header (but correct in the thread) - last name listed as Limo, without the "n", so I first missed this But he has an active FB page, last post in March. He's from Bangladesh. Most of the posts are in his native language but in translating there's nothing of note. Photos appear to be mostly selfies or photos with he and male friends, mostly group photos, (no photos of he with any particular young woman so if he's in a relationship it is NOT something he shares publically.) Do we know anything at all about their relationship? They must have some relation if the same person reported them both missing. The article above says "The circumstances surrounding their disappearance are unknown. It is also unclear if they are related or would have left together."

My first thought on this one was about a University friend I had from that Country, for whom marriage was already arranged since he was 10.
I wondered if this is still the case today and looked it up. This summarizes it:
Marriages in Bangladesh are predominantly arranged
I hope they just maybe eloped and thus are safe somewhere. The information out there is really thin. Raises quite some questions.

The University lists Zamil as a Masters student NOT a doctoral student. So if he was planning on a Ph.D. he likely had a couple more years of school. Graduate Students

"A public information officer with USFPD said the pair, who are both from Bangladesh, are friends and the pair are BELIEVED TO BE TOGETHER. "

"Police said they are not being held by ICE, which was a concern for family members."

"According to investigators, both of their phones are off."

"Investigators also noted that this is not usual behavior for the pair, who are good students."

"Ahmed (Limin's brother) says Limon and Bristy were discussing a potential future marriage, but were focusing on getting through their degrees first."

" 'Another important point that is they talked about having a future together, but they are not that serious about it. Both of them are thinking about, whether we can marry together, and they are discussing that,' Ahmed said."

Very little information provided as LE seeking help from public. Last seen two separate places - phones off - do either of them have a car or other transportation.
