Just speculating about the situation, I could definitely see him being jealous that his roommate was in a PhD program. And having a beautiful/successful friend also in a PhD program. While it seemed like he personally was still figuring his life out. How disgusting to snuff out their lives over jealousy if that was the case 😡 MOO of course.

“Unlawfully hold or move a human body” I wonder where he hid Zamil before dumping him on the bridge, and Nahida if he dumped her as well. I’m assuming their apartment together would’ve been searched…

If his family was in the house, where did this awful murder happen?
The apartment Zamil shared with this brute? Elsewhere?
Good question - where was the crime committed? I went back to Fox streaming to see if they were reporting anything more but they were showing:
- how the PD rescued a 9'6" gator from a pool and
- how the FD rescued little baby ducklings who fell through a grate

Anyway, it seems like if the murder was at their apartment that would have been really risky because of noise (yelling, screaming) and then having to get a body, maybe two, out of there.

Maybe the beach? Sand Key where they searched yesterday? Idk, that's Clearwater Beach one of the most popular beaches in the world. Maybe deserted in the middle of the night? Seems risky.

So idk. I guess they'll announce more soon.

EDIT to add: JMO, MOO

Still so early in this tragedy, but from what we know it would appear that NB rushed from school in an attempt to help her friend ZL. MOO She sounds like a very kind, hardworking, compassionate and loyal person. I pray somehow she is still alive. MOO

Ps Suspect appears very physically in intimidating moo i wonder what, if any, punishment he received for his prior offenses?
According to booking info from previous offenses, he's 6 feet tall and around 230. He's a big dude.
IMO.
ETA: Mistyped the weight

I'm curious about the arrest from the doc you linked (my screen grab below). He was arrested in Hillsborough, Florida, at an address that Google tells me is an apartment complex. The personal info says Montgomery, Vermont. Is that where he was living and working at the time of that crime (2023)? I'm trying to understand how or when he ended up being roommates with ZL in Florida.

Arrests dot org sometimes has errors in it. I pretty much take what is there, if that's the first find I have of an arrest and go to the actual county court records. I never rely on it as a sole source of arrest information for that reason as sometimes there is a disparity between their posting and the official court records. This arrest was 9/13/2023 That is Case Number: 23-CF-014076-A in the Hillsborough County court records. The official court records state his address is:
Defendant ABUGHARBIEH, HISHAM SALEH
**** GRADUATE CIR APT 2406
TAMPA, FL 33617

Same 💔. I hope they've got a good number of divers looking for her. It could take several days for her body to float up :(depending on how she was killed. The bay is 74 degrees right now which is better than cold water for floating more quickly. I just want them to recover her asap.

MOO this sounds like they believe NB has passed and they will find her remains in the water. Horrifying to think of what the two students went thru. I pray she'll be found soon and justice will be swift and appropriate. MOO

There have been no murder charges. Only charges for moving a body and not reporting a death. Typically that's seen in overdose but I'm really not seeing that as an issue here, personally. Could be they just don't have enough evidence of foul play until the autopsy is complete needed to charge him.

They are saying autopsy results could be available Saturday morning which seems pretty quick. Not sure if that info will be released to the public. (There's really nothing else new in this article, just linking it as the source for autopsy results availability).

Autopsy results can be pretty quick, I've attended several where the results were out in a couple of days. It's only when toxicological screening is required (sometimes by possible drug related death or in my state, required by law) that it takes weeks.

Earlier in the day, police arrested Hisham Abugarbieh, a roommate of Limon, after he barricaded himself inside a home about a mile from the university, Maurer said. Abugarbieh faces multiple charges, including domestic violence, tampering with evidence and unlawfully holding or removing a dead human body.

Maurer said authorities are "still actively searching" for Bristy, who lived on campus.

"I implore the community, if you have any tips ... please report it to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office immediately so we can recover her to safety," Maurer told reporters.

Abugharbeih was arrested after barricading himself inside a Tampa home Friday, officials said.

SWAT teams armed with assault rifles descended on Limon’s Lake Forest neighborhood — just over a mile from USF’s Tampa campus — around 10 a.m. Friday, WTSP reported.

The raid was tied to the alarming disappearance of the couple soon after officials declared they were deemed “endangered,” without elaborating.

The local news on NBC interviewed people at the apartments where Abugharbeih and Zamil lived and interestingly one guy said his roommates were random and he was lucky he was assigned good people. Made me wonder if Zamil and Abugharbeih were randomly assigned to each other. I had forgotten that happens even at off-campus housing.

Interesting that one of the charges isn’t some degree of murder though I guess they’ll need autopsy findings and further investigation before pinning that charge on him
