[h=3]Details of Disappearance[/h] Jeroszko was last seen raking leaves outside his Deland, Florida home on December 30, 1983. He apparently drove away in his truck without telling anyone. His truck is a blue 1983 Bronco with the New York license plate number 5032ARD; he owned a summer home in New York. Few details are available in his case.

There are a lot of articles that mention him in Rome, New York.
This is the only one I found detailing his disappearance.

"Zygmont Jeroszko, 69, of 9321 Turin Road, Town of Lee, the former owner of Jeroszko's Lumber Co., has been missing since Dec. 30 from his winter home in Deland, Fla., and police suspect foul play.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Department said there has not been a trace of Jeroszko or the 1983 Bronco vehicle he was driving. Jeroszko's son, Kenneth Jeroszko, of Wilkenson Road, Lee Center, said his parents left for Florida at the end of November and were staying at their winter home, in Glenwood, a suburb of Deland.

Jeroszko said that he visited his parents in December and his father had taken him to the airport about 8 a.m. on Dec. 30 to return here. Jeroszko said that his mother told him his father had put on his work clothes in the afternoon and was clearing trees on the property. Mrs. Jeroszko reported her husband missing that night. Jeroszko said his father was in good health.
The Sheriff's Department said foul play is suspected because of the total disappearance
of Jeroszko and his vehicle. A 20 mile stretch of western Volusia County was searched by police helicopters, vehicles, patrols and some Marines about a week after Jeroszko disappeared. Kenneth Jeroszko said his father retired about five years ago after his selling lumber business."

It sounds like he had a son and a daughter. His daughter died in her 20's in 1970.. sad. She was one of the first female mail carriers in Rome, NY and a research assistant, bright future.

submitted for comparison. They match in every way. The only thing I can not explain is if it is true that the father went to do yard work, why was he wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The weather in Deland on 12/29/1983 was 70 degrees, but the weather on 12/30/1983 was 45 degrees. Unidentified Person / NamUs #UP106183

I'm not seeing the same weather extremes - I just looked at Orlando for both days, high temp was around 55 is what I am seeing. The Doe has some pretty wide ranges on height (10") and year of death (20 years), but then a PMI of 6 months(?). It would appear the remains are partial. The shorts are referenced as "undershorts" - so briefs most likely, as opposed to shorts. Distance is about 40 miles.

I was confused by the PMI also. But the height from what I can see is 5'9 to 6'5. As for the death being estimated between 1963-1983 I think there has to be some type of isotope that they found. I am not versed in autopsies. I have rode I-4 so many times in the last 30 years and I can assure you that stretch has changed dramatically. It was a lot more rural back in the 80s. It started to connect when I read the article about the son leaving for the airport that morning. If he went to the airport from Deland, they were on I-4
