Flashbacks to Way Back When

  • #21
I can go back and dig for the article if it is important - it was stated that the paper contained notes RC had taken about the investigation.

That note hand-off on that dock has always driven me nutz, I swear.

I'm pretty sure B-lady explained it at some point. [But I tend to get poster's nics all mixed up.] Lemme see if it's somewhere I can post a link to.

[JIC - it was supposedly a list of who Ron suspected. w/e, :) ]

I looked and looked for info on that abandoned car when it was first mentioned and came up with zip. I would love to know what kind of car it was and if it was just rumor or if LE really took a car in for testing thinking it might be connected.

Remember the abandoned car LE found in the woods and they took it in for testing? I always wondered what could this possibly have to do with the case? I knew it had to have something to do with the case, why else would they take it in for testing?

I wonder if this car is related to the weekend before Haleigh went missing?

Not sure I recall that newspaper. I read it here.

eta: from someone who was "in the know", iirc.

An old comrade of ours told us that, iirc. Said it was full of drugs.

Are you referring to the beginning of the case or the car that was towed when they were draining the pond?
I don't recall a car from the beginning of the case.

I'm kinda shocked to think cummings keeps notes, myself.

IIRC wasn't the abandoned car found around the same time they found the makeshift chair? I'm assuming that it was found in the woods near the MH. IIRC, on NG she claimed that it was a RAV-4. I'll go and see if I can find the article. BRB

eta: there is a thread about the abandoned car found in the woods

Wonder If he put his own name at the top of the list?
I feel almost certain whatever it was he had written down and handed to the detective was nothing but BS... Compounded with a bunch of LIES...JMO

I know in the beginning it was said that the media mis-reported somewhat. But considering all the lies that have been told I am now beginning to wonder.
Here is another article that I found odd back then, and I trust most of what Greta Reports.

"Snip" http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933...a_ow=t0:s0:a16:g12:r1:c0.504406:b25392222:z10
Ronald, said in an interview with Greta Van Susteren that his girlfriend Misty Croslin, was watching his daughter while he was at work as a crane operator.

Haleigh had gotten up to use the bathroom, according to Cummings. When she didn't return, Croslin went to look for her and noticed the back door was open.

Police had never been called to the home in the past — but there have been prior problems with Cummings, Croslin and the children, Putnam County Capt. Steve Rose said."There have been some investigations done through the department of children and family," Rose told FOX News on Wednesday. He didn't elaborate.

"Somebody stole my child," Ronald said. "Trust me when I tell you that I know my child."[/COLOR

yeah...he definitely seems like a note-taker to me...lol.

IOW, it was TN's notes to hand to LE>

So it wasn't Crystal who started the abuse allegations. It was said by the detective himself that DCF was called regarding both Ron and Misty. Is that when DCF taught rc how to punish his children and where to hit them when doing so.

Doesn't everyone get the idea that ron and misty were abusive...?

There's info on the abandoned car and it was a Rav 4 that had been processed.

I find this comment a bit strange. I mean, I know my children too, and I'm fairly certain they're too young to run off and join the circus so I can rule that out off hand, but even so, if they went missing while I was at work, any number of things could have happened to them besides being stolen. They might have gotten lost, they might have been murdered, they might have accidentally died and been hidden in panic, someone might lie about where they were and what they had been doing. If I know my kids I can rule out or in somethings that they would or wouldn't do out of free will but when it comes to a five year old, it leaves a lot of options that might accidentally happen or be done for them by other people. I would have to know several other people besides my child very well indeed to know that none of them are lying and there is only one option and that's a (stranger) abduction.

Remember when TN claimed that something of Haleigh's was missing? Here's the article:

Theresa Neives claims something of Haleigh's is missing!!

http://www.news4jax.com/video/18865649/index.html

It seems as if LE had no clue what she was talking about. Did we ever hear about what it was that was missing?

Thank you for the link but it is not an article w/TN saying something is missing.
It is a video of GGMS talking about getting the home ready for media to come in.
Whisperer-it shows a RED Jeep Cherokee which I assume belongs to GGMS. It has a Haleigh poster on it and is parked in front of the home while she is being interviewed. I have a feeling this is the vehicle she traded in for the '09 Nissan 3 weeks after Haleigh's disappearance. It also has some good shots of Ron's Altima to check for damage.

I agree, Ron was adament somebody stole "my child". Those words drive me nuts, her name is Haleigh, why doesn't he say her name instead of calling her "my child?"
