I thought this was funny as hell, and that Florence Henderson knew exactly what she was doing when she decided to include this little "tidbit," lol!!
She knew this story would go "viral"; the women on "The View" TV show
discussed it weeks ago and their reaction- giggling and grossed out- was the
same as ours. BUT!! The book DID get publicized on national TV, mission accomplished, free publicity, etc. "The View" didn't discuss the book as a whole- it just mentioned the "VD story," same as on this thread. If not for the shock value, I doubt that the book would ever have been mentioned. I'm sure that quite a few people bought the book BECAUSE OF this silly story; after all, if "Carol Brady" had crabs, who knows what else she may reveal?! I think Flo H. is having fun "deconstructing" the holier-than-thou Carol Brady and making her readers squirm- plus, she got air time and press without having to make personal appearances! I think FH is pretty damn shrewd and crazy like a fox!! Mad props to her!:twocents:

Sorry but I never could stand her. So annoying and full of herself (apparently and this tidbit might be evidence of that). I'm sure she has professional credentials (lol) but this is so far past "TMI" that it's very far beyond ridiculous...

Must listen to hunches in the future about not opening a thread...

At this stage of her life, Florence deserves a free card to say whatever she pleases. It makes her more human. Who wants to read her book where she talks about how lovely the opra was and how she wore gloves with her Easter Sunday suit.

I have heard that after age 50, you stop caring what other people think about you and just do what you want. I don't have an issue with that. LOL
