when were the protests??? is this related to all that or just in general to FL opening up for phase 2?

Carry on. Nothing to see here. Disney World is going to open soon.

100% related to Memorial Day and the re-opening of the state, not to even include the protests. People need to jump the heck back home and stay there. It’s not going to kill them to wear a mask!

9,000 Disney World employees have signed and sent a petition to Disney requesting they delay opening and forcing employees to be endangered on the job. This is according to WESH2 News Orlando.
The sad part is most of these employees have minimum wage jobs which they need to feed their families.
Universal just re-opened and within a week laid off hundreds due to poor attendance.

I feel bad for these employees. Their state unemployment is going to be so jacked up. Their federal unemployment too. That is what is happening to my youngest. Every time she tries to log the 10 hours she worked, it boots her out. Then if it’s up, it will ask her for non relevant info such as, how many jobs she’s applied for. The job search requirement has been waived but the software hasn’t been updated. Then one week she had 40 hours and couldn’t get the site to accept them. She calls them and the recording tells her they can’t take any more calls and hangs up. On top of all that, the federal unemployment checks keep rolling in. I told her don’t spend it. Put it in your savings and let them call you. It could take years to get it all fixed.

EXACTLY. the Protest numbers will start coming into play now too. But this batch is from DeSantis opening the beaches for Memorial day and letting people SWARM them. ALL for the mighty buck and to make Florida seem just dandy. Bring in people from other states, Sure, who cares? He's not been realistic at ALL in this situation. Can't wait to vote him out.

People are going back to work and then getting laid off every where. Or from 40 hours a week, down to 10.

Mickey, haven't heard that here. Gov. says he believes there are 10 times the cases on the street, just not tested yet.
Last week his reasons were it's due to farm/migrant worker outbreaks and this week it
is mostly young people 20-32 from bars.

It’s something different every time he opens his mouth.

At the very least, mandate masks in our state !!

That's very wise advice because I do think it will eventually catch up - I just hope they won't be charging interest for what they perceive as their money?
IMO
