Hepatitis A outbreak linked to Costco berries

http://www.9news.com/news/local/article/339142/222/Hep-A-outbreak-linked-to-Costco-berries

CDC says the cases are "potentially associated" with Townsend Farms Organic Antioxidant Blend frozen berries purchased from Costco.

Symptoms of hepatitis A virus infection include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, clay-colored bowel movements, joint pain and jaundice -- a yellowing of the skin or eyes. Symptoms develop two to six weeks after consuming contaminated food or drink and can last from one week to several months.

Thanks for posting that. I bet my elderly parents have a big sack of that in their freezer.
:(

Hep. A can be resistant to inactivation by heat, irradiation, and chemical germicides. Insist that everyone wash their hands frequently!
