I don't think JB is "in charge". He may "look" like he is in charge and he may want to be in charge but he isn't smart enough to be "in charge". IMO that the "dream team" is in charge and they lead him around by the nose. You know-----------point him in the right direction. So with that in mind; maybe this GC is associated with some of the big dogs in the dream team.

Just a few observations...

I remember the August/ 2008 video visitation, the last one released, in which Casey and Cindy start talking about getting Casey out on bond. Cindy says, they couldn't afford it, anyways...Casey says the "opportunity" was there and Cindy didn't take it...Cindy denies knowing about what she speaks...

It is also said in the visit the Baez was in New York on business for Casey....hmmm...

During this visit, it didn't seem to me that they were so sure Casey was getting out on bond....

This has stuck out in my mind...a plan was in the works...and I wonder if it was a different plan or was it somehow connected to the one that ultimately sprung her.

This is pure speculation and opinions on my part.:

People saw Casey in jail and heard the words, "31 Days". They saw huge dollar signs so the first thing they do is get JB to represent her with the understanding he cannot tell who hired him other than Casey, imo. He is willing to go along with the 3rd party agreement as it is not illegal for the fees to be paid by another person. He cannot charge more than what is standard for anything he does yada yada yada.

In the meantime, they are busy making other "arrangements" for the rest we have seen come and go in this scenario. Think about the cast of characters aligned with the defense. DC, LG, KFN, MB, Psychic phone girl, JH, and others who have conveniently shown up seemingly out of the blue and offered their services. Then you have the Dream Team, LP (who quickly was out of the situation and went to the other side), and the newest member PMcK, the PI. And we cannot forget GR and how he has access to all of the above anytime he wants them for an interview or film (except for Casey and obviously Cindy!), imo.

It sure sounds orchestrated right down to the smallest factor, doesn't it?

Well, not sure if it's as recent as today, but I'm still trying to figure out HOW he's doing a "good" anything.

That is astounding that he would say that. He could not possibly want a future as an attorney. No one in their right mind would accept this jackarse as a public spokesman. He could not be more wrong about media relations and the use of other identities. A public spokesperson has to be fairly transparent and accountable if they expect to be taken seriously. This is just another looking for a payout and apparently Baez welcomes him.
