Dick Cheney was a medical marvel. He suffered his first of five heart attacks at age 37. He had multiple heart surgeries, including a quadruple bypass and angioplasties. He had a pacemaker implanted and later an internal defibrillator.

In 2012 he had a heart transplant at age 71.
