they're usually called 'prayer vigils'. it's just shortened to vigil.

Yes, it is. It starts with an invocation and there are prayers for the missing and prayers for a solution and prayers for the loved ones. It usually ends with The Lord's Prayer or other prayer depending on the religion of the family. Candles are lit to light the way home.

actually, you're referring to someone else's cam, and it's not a tent anyway, it's the garage.

i agree, gin, it's hard to see with those floodlights, i wish they'd put them elsewhere so we can actually see. it just washes everything out.
