Delphine Jubillar, a 33-year-old nurse in Cagnac-les-Mines in Tarn in the south of France went missing in the night of December 15/16, 2021. An investigation for "kidnapping, detention or sequestration" were opened in December, but there are no traces of Delphine. There seems to be two, or perhaps three men in her life; her husband, but they are in the process of a divorce; a married lover; and a third man she met at a party about two months before her going missing.

From the above articles: Her husband reportedly told his mother that he was going to kill his wife if she left him (therefore he had a motive). Her scent was traced to an intersection a few hundred yards away from the house (which could indicate that she got into a car there). The husband notified a neighbor about her disappearance at 4am.

From Mid Nov 2021

Louis Jubillar could bring a new key testimony in the case of Delphine Jubillar, the 33-year-old nurse who disappeared in December 2020. Less than a year after her disappearance, he could provide more details concerning the night her mother disappeared and in particular on a possible argument between his parents. Investigators want to question him again at the end of November to see if his version of events has changed.

The husband's trial is starting tomorrow.
Still no body, and very few new elements seem to have been found in all these years.
Can't find any recent MSM articles in English, but I hope there will be some English language coverage of this case once the trial starts.

What happened to Delphine Jubillar on the night of 15 to 16 December 2020? The trial of Cédric, suspected of murdering his wife, opens on Monday 22 September. The nurse's body has still not been found. The events of 15 December 2020 will be at the heart of this trial. Delphine Jubillar was planning to leave the family home to move in with her lover.

Delphine Jubillar began her day by dropping off her young son at school before going to the bank. She wanted to change the access codes for her credit card so that her husband could no longer use it. At midday, she had a rather unusual exchange via text message with her lover's partner, who had just discovered the situation.

‘We have these two women who are clearly fighting over the man they love through messages. That's the nature of the messages. The investigators weren't interested in those,’ Cédric Jubillar's lawyer, Alexandre Martin, points out.

In the afternoon, Delphine Jubillar bought several toys. "She had gone shopping and bought gifts. She wanted to give her children that warm family Christmas feeling one last time. She stayed out of consideration for her husband and her children. And that's why she died, whereas if she had left without saying anything or suddenly, she would still be alive," according to Philippe Pressecq, the nurse's cousin's lawyer.

Delphine Jubillar spent the evening watching television with her son and exchanged tender messages with her lover. She sent a suggestive selfie at around 10 p.m. ‘I love you very much, I kiss you,’ she wrote to her lover at 10:55 p.m. This is the last sign of life from Delphine Jubillar.

Delphine waited, not just because of Christmas per se, but also because her lover, "Jean" was also in the process of leaving his own spouse "Cathy" (not their real names).
A few days before Delphine's death, Cathy had thrown a fit of jealousy over the text messages Jean and Delphine were exchanging. They all ended up agreeing that Delphine would stay away from him until after the holidays, when Jean and Cathy were due to officially separate. However, that agreement was broken and Delphine contacted the lover several times, including on the night she disappeared.
As a result, Jean and Cathy were investigated by the police. But they both had a solid alibi for that night, backed up by cell phone analysis.

I have absolutely no doubt that Cedric killed her. I also believe he had been planning it for a while and had made preparations for getting rid of the body. JMO.
It's very unfortunate that all this happened during the covid lockdowns which made the investigation a lot less effective. It seems to me the police really don't have much concrete evidence to even prove that a murder was committed at all, let alone by him. It will be a sad day if he walks.
MOO.

Update from day 2 of the trial.
Although the couple's children didn't testify directly, they were represented by an administrator. The youngest child was just a baby at the time of Delphine's disappearance and has no memory of that night.
Louis, the eldest, was interviewed several times during the investigation because he claimed to have witnessed his parents arguing in front of the Christmas tree late that night.
Louis, now 11, believes his mother is dead and hopes to get answers from his father. He lives with his maternal aunt and has requested to change his surname.
Various people then spoke on the personalities of Delphine and Cedric.
The trial continued with testimony from the first two police officers who arrived on scene. They describe finding Cedric in his pajamas, crouched down in front of the washing machine where he had just loaded the comforter Delphine used to sleep on the couch with.
They say Cedric was in tears, asking "what am I going to do now that she's not here anymore?".

IMO:
How would he have known she was not coming back? Why was it so urgent to wash that comforter at 5am?
