GUILTY France, Dominique Pélicot, drugged wife of 50 years nightly, filmed rape by at least 51 men, 2011-2020

I can’t imagine what his poor wife is feeling. He betrayed her trust, used her, humiliated her, allowing strange men access to her body, made her sick with STDs, and more. I hope he receives the maximum sentence, along with the men he allowed to violate her. They are all horrible human beings.

I honestly wonder if his aim was to kill his wife.

Really,
plying her with drugs,
making her ill with venereal diseases,
trying to get her infected with HIV,
causing a car accident while she was in "stupor",
her nearly drowning in the pool,
etc, etc.

And the cause of death could seem as if it was the victim's fault.

''A French man has been accused of drugging his wife and recording at least 83 'aggressors' raping her in a horrific cycle of abuse spanning ten years.

'Dominique P' is understood to have recruited his wife's attackers from an online forum called 'Without Her Knowing' – where users discuss performing sex acts on unwitting partners – and storing evidence on a USB drive in a file called 'ABUSES'.

Fifty-one men, aged 26 to 73, have been identified and charged with raping his wife of 50 years, pseudonym Françoise, with investigators finding 92 cases between 2011 and 2020.''

''The husband is alleged to have used the drug Lorazepam to sedate his wife by mixing it into her meal, before inviting men to have sex with her while she was unconscious at their home in Mazan, near Avignon.

Investigators learned of the horror after arresting Dominique in 2020 for filming up the skirts of customers in a supermarket in nearby Carpentras, with a search of his Provence home uncovering camera equipment and 'dozens of videos' of his wife's abuse.''

ccording to The Daily Telegraph, Dominique used an internet forum called 'à son insu' ('without him/her knowing') to organise the abuse of his wife while she was sleeping.

Investigators have identified 92 cases of rape of Françoise, drawing up a list of 83 'aggressors' – but have yet to identify all of the alleged assailants.

Those charged include a fireman, a municipal councillor, a prison guard, a nurse and a journalist.

In 2021, it was reported a total of 33 had so far been jailed, with nine under arrest.''

''Louis-Alain Lemaire, a lawyer for some of the suspects, claimed at the time that some believed the wife was 'simulating' being unconscious as part of a sex game.

Detectives argued the suspects must have known the woman was drugged, because the husband claims to have briefed them before each episode of abuse.

The alleged assaults occurred between 2011 and 2020, with the prosecution claiming that Dominique insists none of the attackers 'gave up going through with sexual acts on his wife given her state'.
That is one of the most awful and craziest things on the internet I have ever heard of and I've seen a lot of stuff. Hope they give this guy the same treatment in prison except he's awake for it all.

This courageous, well put together woman is amazing, she appears to be increasingly confident and beautiful every day! imo.

I know! I love her. I like her French style of dressing too. She was too good for that husband of hers and he didn't appreciate her at all.

He tried to defile her with degenerates, but the good people in the world admire her.

He thought she would be shamed by the rapes.

He will never understand that the shame is all HIS, and that she is a hero.

The deviant is likely getting some satisfaction telling these sordid details. The public recoils at this kind of information, which is an appeal for sadists. I know the testimony is his defense and he has a right to make it, but it is also offensive - and I think he gets some satisfaction in that, like he is defiling the public space with his words.

(This is not to say I'm not sympathetic to children who experience abuse. But I'm not sympathetic to adults who abuse, and this man is among the worst.)

Lundy Bancroft (who wrote Why Does He Do That, about abusive men) has a lot to say about this. I’ve linked to a brief outline, but their whole book is eye opening.
He is basically going down the list in the playbook of excuses that abusive men give.

He wants to ‘offend’ the public space with these lies and excuses so that he can DARVO (the good old deny, attack, reverse victim and offender). Can’t we see he’s the REAL victim here? After all, he was just so gosh darn BORED after he retired.

A brief quote from the article:

‘At one point the cross examination descended into a high pitched screaming match between Mme Pelicot and one of the defence lawyers with the judge having to intervene and call for calm.

Although her former husband has admitted being a rapist lawyers for his coaccused are arguing that their clients were duped by him after being told by him she was a 'consenting partner'.’

I am so proud of Giselle. She is a lion, standing up for herself and refuting all his lies. I am actually thrilled that she yelled at the defence lawyers.

Right?! If the drawing from X in Dotta's post is accurate, that is  not the body language of a guilt-ridden man. It's the body language of a (choose your own adjective) man who has an audience- and knows it!! jmo

I don't tend to follow many cases outside of the UK so this case has slipped me by. Jeez it's absolutely horrific. I have absolute admiration for this woman, how she is still functioning is beyond me, what a warrior.

I hope he gets his comeuppance in prison.... without being drugged so he remembers every second.

In a shocking admission, Mr Pélicot claimed he had begun inviting strangers, some with venereal diseases, to their home in Mazan to assault his wife as she slept because he was 'utterly idle' in retirement.

'utterly idle'...

Um, no. Utterly vile.

Why is this man even allowed to speak at this point? He, at this point, is reveling in all the horrid details he's sharing.

Case should be shut, ruled on, & put him in prison immediately (along with every co-conspirator) never to see the light of day again.

Imo.

Nonchalant and relaxed body language, because in his mind he has no guilt.

All RSBM.

Seriously, I have to wonder how much he is lying, "creating" this sob story background of his. I'm not sure I believe him as I think he's a sadist, malignant narcissist, & compulsive liar, just to name a few.... As @Inthedetails said, he's probably getting pleasure playing his sob story, inflicting horrible details on the court & the public.

While I know much research shows childhood abuse plays a part in a continuing cycle of abuse, my gut tells me he is lying & having fun doing so (now that he's been caught).

MOO.

probably
his own brother said their mother discovered he was lying about the male nurse incident because there were no male nurses working the night he said it happened

These men are defending themselves saying they were sent pictures of Gisele awake and half naked, smiling. Half naked around the house, in the garden, on her bed, etc., inviting them. That they were swingers. Nope. She was smiling at her husband because they were married and she trusted him. The website was literally called "Without her Knowing". So, of course, they knew she didn't know.
